Replacement grip to drop a grip size

I use Tourna Pro Thin but I think it only reduces it by a 1/2 grip size. Other option is to use 2 overgrips, like Wilson Pro OG and Tournagrip on top.

I didn’t get any blisters when using the Wilson Feather thin grip so I was trying to find other grips similar. Is the TW leather grip shrink the size at all?

TW Leather will reduce it by half a size if you wrap tightly. Leather gives less than synthetic grips so the 1.3 leather is about equivalent to a 1.5mm synthetic and the 1.5 leather is about the same as a 1.7mm synthetic.

Tourna Pro thin, Prince Pro thin, Babalot Syntec Team, and if you can get it, Yonex's stock grip. These all drop the grip about half to 1 grip size. My personal favorite is the Babolot, but I think Tourna might be the thinnest one.

Be careful with the Syntec Team. The ones that my Pure Strike 3rds came with reduce by half a grip size, but the retail versions that I bought (from 2 different shops) are slightly thicker. They are almost the same thickness as most standard grips (Head Hydrasorb Pro, Wilson Sublime, Prince Resi Pro), reduce grip circumference less than 1 mm (3 mm is a grip size). Featherthin reduces by a full grip size.

I'd noticed a wilson leather grip seemed to add little bit of weight , while the featherthin helped lose it (by up to 8g), when adding to a bare handle.

Using the wilson featherthin replacement grip, then a comfort grey wilson overgrip worked for me and helped lessen blistering.

Kimony Techni for the win!

the Techni absolutely does the job; however be aware the edges aren't beveled / feathered so if you wrap with any overlap you'll have a raised edge spiraling around the handle.

For me, with an overgrip (or two), I don't mind that feeling but it's definitely "a thing" that makes it not 100% normal.

^^^I should have noted that. The Kimony Techni works well but it is a little more difficult to install. It comes with little tacks and two sided tape to assist. I don't use the tacks but use a small staple instead. It also doesn't stretch too much but I suggest pulling as tight as you can and overlap it as little as you can accomplish. The resulting grip will indeed be firm.

If you use a synthetic, the Babolat, Wilson and Prince are the better ones in my view. The Tourna is thinner but very fragile.

I saw that a teaching pro had some odd things from yesteryear on the big auction site and when I saw these patches I had to have them. I also snagged up this. Seemed appropriate for my place in tennis - defunct:)
