Hi guys
we all know that there are loads of fake Babolat & Wilson rqts on eb@Y. I even suspect that there are now fake Head Liquidmetal rqts on there to. I would like to think that the respective companies would take so proactive action in monitoring and reporting these sellers to eB@y to get them removed, but alas no.
So I think its down to us as knowledgable consumers to take the required action. What I'm suggesting is that if 1 person from these boards reported 1 seller to eB@y then we'd soon have less fake rqts on there and maybe eb@Y would realises the extent of this problem.
At the bottom of each listing there's a 'Report this listing' link. Click on it and follow it through. It will give you some choices as to why you're reporting the item and it seems the best choices would be, in order, 'Counterfeits & breach of copyright'>'Potential trademark infringement'>'Other replica or counterfeit items'.
As probably mention throughout this thread, but repeated here for ease of reference, the common signs that the rqt is fake is-
Only available in grip size L2 4 1/4 (although some L3's appearing,
Free overgrip to build up grip,
Free standard string & stringing inc in price,
Free case
Babolat rqts not having woofer grommets at the throat,
Rqts coming from China,
Auctions listed with Chinese sounding user names,
Rqts listed that are just too darn cheap.
I've already reported some sellers to eb@Y, and even created a user id to fakes bid on fake rqts. The user name implies that the rqt in the auction is fakes.
So let's get things moving to get rid of this annoying scammers who are just as annoying as those scammers from Nigeria.
