Retail versions of Roger's gear to look exactly same as the custom versions for 2010?

If the newly released Marina Blue Nike Men's Spring All Court Polo, All Court Woven Shorts and the LunarLite Vapor Tour are anything to go by, it seems this year's retail Roger apparels and shoes will look exactly like the custom versions of Roger's gear, even the shoes (perhaps the only difference being some of the materials used to make Roger's shoes even lighter). The new Marina Blue shirt has got all the stuff seen only on the custom stuff previously, i.e. laser cut RF, bonded seems, heat transfer (rather than stitched) Swoosh etc. Watching Roger at the Capitala event, his shirt looks exactly the same as the retail version. Even Roger's shoes look the same as the retail LunarLite, gone is the RF logo from the tongue of Roger's shoes (a standard feature of Roger's custom shoes in the past), instead it is just a Swoosh on the tongue and the RF only appears on the heels, which is the same as the retail shoes. Even the outsole pattern of Roger's shoes look the same as that of the retail version. Take a look at the photos below (I apologise for the quality, they are screen shots). Maybe Nike got feedback and will henceforth release retail stuff that is identical, or at least in appearance, to Roger's custom gear. If so, that's good news to disgruntled Nike fans who have been buying retail Roger shirts only to find missing aesthetic details (not just the RF logo). But it appears, unfortunately, to have come at a higher cost. Still, I think it's a move in the right direction.

Interesting, maybe the retail stuff really has caught up with Federer's personal stuff. I'd imagine his AO shoes will have the standard 'wins' logos on though. Interesting to see though

Of course like in the other thread to materials for his will be much lighter than the retails. But they do look the same. What about the shorts? Still has a belt?

I did notice that Fed's shoes didn't have the RF logo on the tounge. I'll be curious to see if he's wearing different shoes come AO. Although in the past even during non-slam events his shoes had the RF logo in the front and back of the shoe.

The next thing Nike needs to do is shrink the size of the RF logo on the caps and t-shirts. On the t-shirts it should be a lot smaller for sure.

Looks like the retail shorts don't have belt loops. But then how many rec players would actually wear a belt. Other than ones who wanted to be kitted out in exactly what Fed wears.

The shorts Roger is wearing are different...no belt, but I'm guessing he just chose not to wear it for this event.

I don't think so!

Nice catch! The ones he wore before were identical to retail as seen in FabFed's pictures. However here Federer's Vapors have the three Swiss flags on the shoe and the RF on the tongue. These are the custom for the aussie open that differ from retail but they are much closer to retail than past years.
