Reverising the rivalry - Nadal and Federer

After having his 81 match winning streak on clay end, losing a tearjerking Wimbledon final, getting destroyed in an ATP World Tour Finals to Federer in the span of 6 months, Nadal has gone 14-4 against his rival.

This is not true.

Federer and Nadal had a common window of great consistent performances from 2004-09.

Federer has played like close to 1150 matches , about 400 more than Nadal.

Far far more mileage. Does not make meaningful comparison, when Fed started his career a full 5 years prior to Nadal.

Federer is milking the most of his talent past 2010, even with the wear and tear. It is because of his greatness that even at age 31 he can be the number 1 when 3 other great players were in their peak prime at age 24-26.

Fed got Nadal angry taking away his clay streak. Nadal was humble. He just wanted clay. Fed got too greedy and took this away with a bagel humiliating Rafa.

Rafa said, no more, that's it. So, his life mission was to take away Fed's goat status.

Rafa at first liked Fed. He was even willing to give him a RG title or two for CYGS. But Fed's arrogance didn't know limits taking away the only little thing Rafa cherished. The clay streak. Rafa felt betrayed and angry, so he had his revenge. Took away Fed's goathood. The only think that was precious to Fed.

And it was cruel. Started on grass, then AO. He would take his USO crown too, but Fed avoided him two times. And now finally he took WTF from him too.

Please no. This rivalry needs to go the way of the dodo. There has been a toxic noxious GOAT methane cloud over tennis for far too long. Once Federer retires the air will clear a bit but not entirely until the second half of the rivalry goes as well.
DelPo, Murray, Djokovic, Stan, up and comers, etc....can then battle for the big titles....Fresh air and fair.
