I picked up the shirt in the blue color and a pair of white shorts at a local shop. Just wanted to diversify my tennis wardrobe and I used to love Fila in the 80's and 90's.
The shirt fit a tad longer than I prefer but I was impressed with it's ability to wick sweat. Most Adidas shirts I have get very heavy and soak through quickly. The Essenza didn't look like I had dropped it in a bucket of water after I got through playing. And the quality of the shirt is top notch. The polyester is thicker than most Adidas and Nike shirt but feels lighter. Funny thing is Fila doesn't even gimmick the wicking technology.
I wanted the 7" short but had to get the 9" short. The pockets are terry lined but small. Holding 2 balls in a pocket feels tight. Much more comfortable with one ball in the pocket. No problem with balls popping out while playing, in spite of the tight pocket.
Don't overlook the Fila 09 line. Nice quality and good performance at a reasonable price. They even have a new shoe that looks promising. Although I haven't tried on a Fila shoes since the late 80's....the Classic Tennis shoe that I've seen online for 40 bucks but can't find my size. Tempted to get it directly from Fila for 70.
TW add the Fila Classic Tennis Shoe in beige with the red and blue streak.
