Nah I really hope to see something like MNW.
Wasn't really watching when they happened. God knows the E needs genuine competition.
If their TV show can match the first show then WWE might have some ''real competition.'' The whole feeling of freshness was music to my ears and it looked good. The production etc. I'm just picturing smug Vince taking a glass of water while saying real competition. We can only hope. Time to take him out back. Doubt they will be going head to head on Monday.

Djokovic on fire. Looks destined to win the tournament. He has a sense of purpose. It would be impossible to take him down in a best of 5.

Nadal has a very good chance to do it. You are severely overestimating Djokovic's chances here. He is a solid contender, and one of the favs, but here in Paris, he is still a notch below Nadal.

Both look like they're in good form, but there's a lot of tennis to be played between now and the final. I'd rate Rafa a slight favorite over Novak, then Thiem and then give both Fed and Tsit an outside shot. (My early season next-tier contender, Cecchinato, has left the building.)

I give fed no shot
Absolutely great to hear you say it.Enlightened me completely. Else I would have been lost in this darkness.

For the 1000th time no less.

Now tell me when have you ever agreed Fred will do anything ?
What's next ? You give him no shot to tie his shoes right ?

Strange fact: Djokovic has never lost in the 1st round of RG, Wimbledon or USO. He has lost in the 1st round twice at AO but he has almost as many AO titles as he has at the other 3 combined. 7 titles vs 8 titles.
In AO he also has less semifinals than in RG, Wimbledon, USO. He is just winning it every time when he reaches a semifinal.

Higher winning percentage in AO than the other 3 though, and he won 5/6 of them. None of the others can rival that. He also never lost in the SF or F there.

Well, he won AO every time when he reached a semifinal. That is the difference. In other slams he might lose in the final rounds as well.

Yea but the point I was making is it is by far his most successful Slam even though he lost in the 1st round twice. It's great to make a SF but it's even better to be able to close the deal everytime and win it when you reach that point.

Not really. Looking at things objectively, if Djokovic plays his A game, he will beat the current 2019 Nadal. That much is obvious.
The question would be more nuanced if the current Djokovic were playing the 2010/2012/2013/2017 Nadal (excluding the 2018 Nadal who was an animal).
As of this time, Djokovic's A game is better than the current Nadal's. Even on clay. So I don't see Nadal beating Djokovic in a best of 5 match.

Thiem will make sure that never happens
Thiem has no chance against Djokovic. He will likely not even reach the SF.
If he does, he will NOT even win a set against the current Djokovic. I'm just tired of people hyping Thiem. I don't even know if he will EVER win a slam. He just doesn't have the mental strength that the very best have. I'd almost say the Zverev/TsiTsiPas - once they improve - have a FAR better chance than Thiem.
Anyway, this is not the Djokovic of 2017/2018 - he will make Thiem pay. Expect a beatdown.
The only player who has even a remote chance of beating Djokovic is NOT on Djokovic's side of the draw.

Yeah I agree with this. King of Clay? Doesn't matter. I'm not picking Nadal in a best of 5 against the beast that is current Djokovic.

Exactly. It's pretty obvious really.
Nadal is no longer the player he was. And with beast mode Djokovic there can be only one outcome.
People are living in the past. We saw what happened in Australia. It would be similar if they faced again in Paris. The scoreline would be similar to the 2015 FO match they had.
