I was able to watch only one and a half sets, but knowing the opponent, it was obvious even before the start that it was going to be a tedious and boring affair. I was relieved to see the final score this morning. I thought it was going all the way to 5 sets. The retriever can make anyone look bad, including himself.

In order to understand the allegations, you need to know the stories behind them. The first woman was a tennis player and model. It seems that she had high expectations from him, but he as a young athlete was not very serious, which frustrated the lady who also had a temper. He really liked her and kept her around but she had serious plans like marriage which he didn’t want. She also wanted more attention from him and became a distraction at tournaments. They were fighting a lot and had a tumultuous relationship. He started dating the second woman, a German model, probably out of spite or to forget the first one. Also not a serious relationship, but she got pregnant. He didn’t want to have a kid at his age (and from a not so serious relationship) but she insisted to have the baby despite his protests and even said she didn’t want him to take care of her baby that she wanted to raise on her own. He ended up paying alimony and taking financial care of both the baby and the mother. It’s really a sad situation for everyone and I do find that he comes across as a vain young rich brat who wanted to be surrounded by beautiful women and didn’t choose wisely. Now I don’t know if the allegations are true but what’s clear is that he was in a couple of very unhealthy relationships that I tend to blame on all people involved.

Not to forget that he now is in another peculiar relationship with Lindemann's (Rammstein front man who was accused of drugging young women to have sex with him etc) ex-girlfriend.
Indeed, he seems to be doomed by bad choices in this respect. I‘m sure he would have already won a couple of slams if he wasn’t too preoccupied with the messy problems of his personal life.

I want him to get to the final at least. I think he can beat Ruud if he plays well and doesn’t choke a lot.
As for final he’d be slight underdog but don’t discount him. He caused both Alcaraz/sinner problems before. If he’s the underdog he’d probably play better too with less pressure. He has a chance.

What kind of bizarre logic is this? Serial murderers sometimes have ordinary jobs and their co-workers will say after they were caught, "Wow, I always thought John was a great guy at work." How people behave on the job oftentimes has ZERO correlation whether they're abusive or not. And yes, it's exceedingly well documented Zedrot is abusive and has anger issues and always has ever since he joined the tour. Watch this and dare claim he's whiny and sulky instead of an absolute rage machine.

Are both women accusing him? I havent really paid too much attention to it tbh as it serves no purpose for me to do so as i think let it play out in court, until then he is innocent for me, but the one thing i do know is within the locker room the players are fond of Zverev and i can tell you this much, most guys have a zero tolerance attitude to blokes who hit women so i would have thought the players would have more of an inkling about this but they all seem in his corner.

The Russian girlfriend accused him on twitter. An ATP investigation cleared him for lack of evidence. The German girlfriend basically wanted more money to support her and her daughter and accused him as well. The German court ordered him to pay around half a million dollars but he appealed. It’s all a mess really. Guilty or not, there is definitely a financial aspect involved. If I was him I would have paid the fine and concentrated on my tennis.
