Novak should take it according to where they're both at in their careers. But this is Nadal's backyard. And Nadal will go through hell and back to see Djokovic off here.

Djokovic in 4.

Nadal's 170-180 1st serves won't get him any free points.

Off the ground, Nadal hasn't looked that great at all.

And here we go.

All I know for sure is the trolling through this match will be immense.

Nadal in 5.

After seeing Nadals performance against Sock, Novak is the heavy favourite. This will be as disappointing as Mayweather Pacquiao.

Novak in 4 not so tight sets.

Djokovic has only dropped his serve 3 times in the tournament, to Nadal's 8. Djokovic is yet to drop a set, has played the (average) highest ranked player per round, and is in absolutely top form.

Nadal in 4.

I can't function while Novak is still in the draw

He better win the whole thing or lose to Nadal right here

don't have a dog in the fight, other than I find Novak and his team annoying to put it lightly, however, I have written Rafa off before, and I will never do that again. This guy will be prepared to die out there...

Novak's level is just stoopid right now. Serving very well, returning even better. Aggressive when the time calls for it. Eating second serves. Joker in straights. Engrave the trophy. Plan the parade...

Weather god not going not going to help Nadal like it did against Sock for first 2 sets.

Its a cloudy day on Wednesday with more clouds towards the evening.
So Novak has some advantage.

But this is Nadal's backyard. Biting my nails already. I don't think I can watch this. I cannot stand another Novak loss at RG.

Novak in 3 routine sets.

This isn't going to be an exciting match. It isn't going to be a war. It's going to be a one sided pounding and Novak's swinging the hammer.

If it's a five set match the door will be wide open for others to walk over their carcasses.

a gruelling and very exhausting one, would make anyone fall from exhaustion...:)

I think it will be five sets, but who will prevail?
I'll stay on the safe side.
I'll say nadal.

The weather could be one of the factors that favors Djokovic.

Djokovic isn't even out of 2nd or 3rd gear yet. He's been serving and returning really well, and I hope he can carry this form into Wednesday's match.

I don't really predict the number of sets for matches, but obviously Rafa.
Rafa will have to re-adjust to Court Phillip, so if Djokovic doesn't win the 1st set I'm thinking its a straight sets beatdown.
Huge 1st set for Djokovic.

Agree with you for once. 1st set will be super critical for Novak. If it doesn't go his way, he will have a hard time.

It's going to be humid on Wednesday in Paris. Djokovic doesn't perform very well in humid conditions. Case in point: last year's RG final.

I think that would benefit whoever is doing the least amount of work in the match.

Probably Nadal in 4, similar to last year(except he'll win the 1st set this time). Bit gutted tbh that Novak isn't 100% fully fit but needless to say that bad luck befalling him is par for the course these days at RG. Oh well, at least by going out in the quarters he may end up playing Halle or Queens - really looking forward to the grass court season this year.

Wait - he's not fully fit?
He's doing pretty well anyway - if Nadal is particularly tense/nervous on the day then we can sense victory.

the way nadal played today, and seing how well joker is playing, I'd say Joker in 3 routine sets. Still, hard to bet against Rafa at the FO, so I lean a little towards Rafa getting at least one set, but he has to up his level.

Wanted to vote Novak in 4, but gave Nadal the benefit of the doubt to make miracles happen Na'Vi style, so Novak in 5.

What? You think Gasquet would have done better vs Nadal?
