Nadal had a commanding position in the V 2nd set at 5-3 and 30-30 on Z’s serve. He’s let it slip from then onwards. Would have been a completely different match had he taken the 2nd. Sadly now it’s likely to be a straight set loss. :(

When you consider Nadals past form at Roland Garos, this reminds me a bit of when Muhammad Ali was a ghost in the ring against Larry Holmes. Not that bad of a beat down of course but kind of hard to watch.

Most boxers and athletes go out that way unfortunately. I prefer the Barry Sanders and Lennox Lewis approach.

BHs are needed unless you want to give Nadal an easy target.

He likely still wins, but you have zero chance if you don't have a BH.
Sure, but Rafa’s form takes precedence over BHs. You still need a good BH to take advantage if Nadal is off, but he needs to be off first
