RG SCHEDULE IS RUINED. NO MATCHES ON WEDNESDAY!

This is so stupid. All players should get the equal opportunity. What if somehow unfinished QF matches go into 5 sets. It is possible especially Thiem vs. KK?. What if it rains tomorrow too? Complete mess. IMHO, they should move the final for Monday. I'm so cranky about RG this year (n). The worst major ever.

BTW, I have this stupid feeling that they will schedule Djokovic vs. Zverev on SL and Fed. vs. Rafa on PC which is fine. However if they schedule both matches at the same time I'm going to 'kill' myself :censored:. Can it get more stupid? Sure it can.

ring a bell?
AO 2017? Semifinals played in differents days. WTF!
Wimbledon 2018? Semi-final number 2 was played in indoor conditions when the weather was sunny!

Tennis is meant to be played in natural outdoor conditions..glad RG has resisted getting a roof for so long. Rewards natural champions
Again, the roofs are retractable - like a huge umbrella. The tournament is still outdoors. I'm so close to hoping Djoker actually kicks Ralph's hiney on Sunday.

If these guys are such natural purists, why don't they just argue for it to be played in rain... a natural environment...
And clay, such a natural surface composed of artificial additives, and Wimbledon grass, such a natural surface helped to grow by chemicals

la plupart des français restent à ne rien faire toute la journée et je suis sûr qu'ils pourront y assister le lundi. et quand les français prennent-ils habituellement leurs 3 mois de vacances au cours de l'année?

Djokovic fans complaining? Seriously? Even though Djokovic at 2018 Wimbledon got to play Nadal indoors during a hot, dry fortnight, and has returned to form since?

and do not forget federer fans too!
The semifinals of AO played on different days is an atrocious decision, especially if the second match of that instance is very long (as was the Nadal Dimitrov) and the winner had much less time to rest to play the final against a rested opponent.

After the big 3, no one really cares about the other players' legacies too much since there is really no legacy for them as of yet or their careers are pretty much finished. Once the big 3 retire, make tennis more of an indoor sport. It's not necessary to play outdoors and the reality of it is playing exposed to the sun for long periods of time is not good for the skin anyways.

Tennis WAS originally an indoor wooden sport, then the richies of sunless Britain made it into a lawn tennis format, practically wouldn't even play when there was wind because it would tip over their bonnets. Who's responsible for making it into this running, outdoor "athletic" sport? Well the tireless and tiresome Frenchies of course, who just couldn't resist bastardizing the surface either so every Rafito under the sun could play

Imagine if clay never even developed; we'd still have fast surfaces, still have serve and volley, still have small rackets and most importantly, no running down balls from 2 meters behind the baseline

C'est faux. Je dois avouer que je suis un peu atterré par le nombre de clichés choquants que je peux lire sur la France et les français à longueur de temps sur ce forum.

in what way
Meh, don't worry about it. I'm probably reading too much into things.

It's weird. I don't like outdoor tennis for the sake of tournaments like this, and to a lesser degree, health reasons, but I also would prefer tennis stay accessible to all. It's too bad indoor courts are so expensive.

Doping should be now legal for Djokovic until RG is over.

I'm guessing it's because I implied tennis should be a high-class sport. The only thing I have qualms with is making tennis into a fitness game, which leads to child abuse like Toni inflicted on Rafa from age 4 onwards (not that I truly care what people do with their kids; it's just a bad image for the sport)

Tennis if there was no clay would still be open to the masses, just maybe hard courts would have developed later (remember the only reason they came into existence at all is as a response to clay; grass was too hard to maintain and clay only possible in summer. I just prefer that tennis should have remained an indoor wood or hard sport, with the most prestigious tournament being Wimbledon with still fast grass (preferably under a roof :O

Eh bien, pas exactement la même chose, mais il y a une certaine similitude avec ce qui m'est arrivé dans les transports en commun.

Lol so you can hear Ultronians spew endless crap for ages about how he's the GOAT?

If there's no tennis today Djokovic will have to play 3 best-of-5-set matches in 4 days. Probably against Zverev, Thiem and Nadal. It's fine, totally fine.
Nadal had to play Khachanov, Thiem & Delpo in the last US open. Now its Djokers turn! Sounds fair. But no one can do anything about the rain, of course other than getting a roof.

Not really comparable as Nadal never had to play multiple matches in a day and then forced to play a final with little recovery time

Also let's not even talk about USO draws since both in 2010 and 2013 Djokovic had to play long five setters against Fed and Wawrinka while Nadal blitzed through Youzhny and Gasquet in their semis
But no one can do anything about the rain, of course other than getting a roof.
First of all, the roof is long overdue.

And when you see so much rain ahead that the day will be obviously rained out, you should schedule your matches around the rain so every participant has a decent amount of time to recover...
One thing that would have helped would be to start the matches earlier so you can fit more of them in a single day.

pretty dumb to still not have a roof on the main court. The big 3 need to tell the FFT to correct this travesty.

I have most of the Djoker fans already on ignore and expect the rest of them to be there by Wimbledon. I was fine with the glee over it raining from Ralph's fans, I would be giggling too.. but the nonsense about never having a roof to keep it "natural" are just ridiculous and over-bearing. There's nothing natural about clay, so that argument is crap. Also! I guarantee the Ralph fans will be screaming "why isn't there a roof" if Friday and Saturday get rained out and Ralph has to play both a semi and a final on Sunday AND LOSES. Hypocrisy is my arch-nemesis.

What a useless slam this is. This is the least prestigious and worst organized of all slams. No wonder ESPN completely desolated them and this slam has the worst viewership out of all.

No lights. Only place on earth which still lives as though light bulbs were never invented.
Paris has long been known as the City of Light. The scheduling at all the slams tends to be ridiculous, based on old traditions, which makes me think it is not the slam country that makes the rules but the ITF? To get hysterical because there is not a roof or lights is pathetic. Wimbledon hardly ever closes their roof and agonizes when they do so. Also, play has to stop at 11PM due to the Village rules. In Paris, without lights, they play till 9PM or later.

and do not forget to play the semifinal of the Australian Open with less than 24 hours to rest until the last match that his rival.
He had 24 hours to rest easily. And that's the rule of the AO established from the beginning.

This is just negligence of the RG organizers.

Rested opponent? Federer had played 2 five setters before the final and actually had the tougher SF opponent. Not to mention he was also 5 years older than Rafa.

You know your argument fails when you claim unfairness against a 35 year old opponent.

Oh and Rafa was up 3-1 in the 5th set. We are only hearing such excuses because he lost. News flash: Rafa had lost an AO final from a break up in the 5th set before, he is not perfect.

On the other hand, I noticed this is much better place without @Tennis_Hands ... Although, hope he is ok in personal life...

On HC? How is that more difficult than Zverev, Thiem and Nadal on clay? All three top 5 clay courters today.

It's Nadal's fault that he needs 5 hours to beat them.

The lack of roof at the FO is worrying.....Shame on them as they make each year huge amount of money. They should be at least 2 courts with a roof. It's a GS for god sake!!!!!
