These two have 5 setters at 2 of the 4 slams already before either has (hopefully) hit their best. If they don't accomplish the all too rare feat of having one at each of the 4 majors it will be sad.

That was the first mental mistake Carlos has made in a while. Lot of options in that situation but hit a very poor drop shot.

This has not been an overall high quality. Not some insurmountable effort it would take for a well playing Djokovic.
My point being that they impact each other, so the match's "quality" from a fan standpoint doesn't really say anything about how another player would fare in this match. Would 2013 Rafa win this? Probably, but who cares?

Sinner's movement on clay is just NOT good. Especially when he is moved laterally and dragged out of the court.
Prime Nadal would have killed Sinner with the short angles, spin and the variation.
Sinner is unbeatable on video game tennis, but vary the height and spin and he gets into trouble.

Sad to see DJo Fanbois trying to insert him into this conversation and cope.

Alcaraz and Sinner both can handle him readily...especially in the off cycle years. And the scary part is...they aren't even in the peak years yet. They are just starting!

Back to the relevant players now, Sinner is battling for sure!
