65 winners to 39 winners tells a lot.
Sinner looked physically done in by the 4th.
Alcaraz was getting stronger as the match progressed into the final set.
Alexander The Great will be another difficult challenge.
Might be Alcaraz's toughest foe on clay.

To me Carlos is a good dude and i'll tell you why. Everytime he loses he always gives warm congratulations to the winner no matter what. It easy to be graceful when you win but the true measure of character is when you lose and Carlos is a gentleman in that aspect. Is he a little cocky sure and he has every right too. Also his press conference are great because he gives you the unfiltered stuff we all like to hear. Carlos is good people he's fine with me.

Jannik is the one who gave icy congrats to his so called friend
I noticed that too with Sinner, same icy congrats as in Indian Wells. This time it even seemed Carlos wanted to continue talking and Sinner turned away pretty quickly. Somehow felt strange

I was able to watch set 4 now.
Mesmerising serve quality from Raz, it seems he is constantly improving it, no?

And wow.
That running forehand topspin lob at 5:4 and down 30:0 on Sinner's serve is one of the most stunning beauties I have ever seen.

From the parts I have seen, that match seems to have been an impressive clutch performance (apart from set 1+3) with the highest technical skill level, a beauty to watch. And all of that with almost zero clay prep this season.

That serve out wide to Sinner's forehand on deuce side again and again did some crazy damage I didn't expect.
Also lost only one point on first serve throughout the entire 4th set.

WHAT THE **** WAS THAT????

Trying an off balance BH drop shot to the opposite corner on defense? Look at his pathetic footwork. God, juniors at the tennis club down the road have better fundamentals.

Carlos doesn't just lose this match, he's lost the war. He's getting humiliated. His entire style of tennis is being roasted publicly. Does Ferrero do anything? The kid has no respect for the game, no respect for the basics, he just YOLOs it and it works most of the time. He has nothing for an actual tennis player with actual tactics, defense, and ball striking ability. Carlos needs to fire Ferrero and go back to the drawing board completely. An utterly shambolic catastrophe of a performance.

His serve being not good is just a myth whenever i see least. good percentage + speed. Probably even better now.

He is natural on clay i imagine he trained since his earliest days on clay. Despite all this + expectations he didn't perform well so far there. His greatness, achievements comes from other surfaces slams + masters outside of Madrid which is different than all the other clay tournaments.

Buenos aires rio?? I told as his game is not consistent enough sometimes he is making too much error to be great or dominant at RG. But yeah also his results are not so consistent either.

He beat Djokovic in a Wimbledon final what more do you ask him? Without much experience + staying tough mentally after RG and all the talent he showed. Talking about second set etc in grass final i just told that he saved MP in second round in 2022. On RG he just beat Sinner in 5 not the greatest on the surface.

He beat Djokovic who dropped his level, please do not tell me that was an incredible well playing Djokovic, who basically dropped like a stone form wise, in the second set and made mistakes you don't see from him in that tie break and handed Raz a life line. Had Djokovic ended the tie break the way he had been doing since the start of RG on, you wouldn't be talking about how much better he is on grass. He gets credit for clutching it out in the end, but that is just Raz being clutch in final sets, which he does on every surface. He is 10-1 in fifth set.

Raz was playing just fine at RG 2023, until he cramped. It was his nerves that ultimately did him in.

He is very likely going to be picking up multiple RG titles over the coming years, he is only 21 and is in his first RG final now after practically having no clay season, heck Nadal played more matches on clay heading into this RG.

So, we will have disagree here. For me, clay is his best surface, he just happened to win on hard and grass first....overall, this is an ATG in the making, he will be winning everywhere. That is how good he is.

Anyways, leaving it there, seems I am saying the same things. I see your point, and we disagree.

Can’t stand arrogance; it’s one of my biggest triggers. I had to read people for a living for my whole career and I don’t see arrogance, just supreme confidence and self belief. When he gets annoyed it’s usually at his performance as he knows what he’s capable of. Off court he has a good reputation amongst the players and is a gracious loser. Yes he’s a showman and that’s easily read as arrogance. I hope he doesn’t change. He brings pzazz to the game and I love that.
100% agreed with this, the dude you quoted is just projecting.

Just a horrific, nightmare start from Carlos. Spraying, all over the place on return, Sinner way too comfortable.

This will be over quickly and painlessly for the Italian.

The kid blew it. He's done. I don't think he'll ever beat Sinner again.
Premature panic attack.

Do you mean more 'ferris wheel' than 'merry-go round' ?
I guess so. It’s just noticeable that Carlos is going for that heavy kicking forehand more, and less for his flatter drive which he was so addicted to pulling out at every opportunity last year. It’s an effective wrinkle he’s added to his gland — he needed to add more margin and lower risk, and this is part of how he’s achieving that.
