Hypothetical question : If you can choose your dominant hand for tennis, would you choose to be a righty or lefty? And why?

but on the other hand your always hitting backhands in drills where everyone is hitting forehands.. doesn't really matter much though

Since we are asking -
Lefty
6'3
run a 4.2 forty
42 inch vertical
Cannon for an arm
Nasty slice serve
one handed backhand...

I think that is the one advantage I have in tennis, maybe that is the only reason I win any matches haha.

I'd stay right handed. I used to play a lefty on a regular basis, so I was more accustomed to it. To me, I enjoy a different look when I play them. I'd agree that they do have an advantage over many players that don't adjust to the opposite ball bounces.

When I was still 5-10, I always played two-handed both sides lefty and I'd serve with my right hand. Now that I can play lefty-one handed, I'd still stick with my left-hand since I am left-handed (even though my right-hand is stronger). It makes going for backhands easier if you have a stronger offhand and hitting lefty forehands isn't as hard as hitting righty backhands

i am left handed, and enjoy the perks without even noticing them very often. for me my shots are totally normal, but others have problems with what seems like a very normal shots. gotta love it!

42" vertical? You sure about that?

lol yes im not too sure about that either. that's venturing in to the NBA waters there, unless of course your a 6'8 freak with limitless athletic ability.

I think it could be accurate. I had a 36" vertical when I was 5'5", which was measured on a device that somehow measured your vertical (was a little 3'x3' pad that you stand on and jump.) Although that is above average, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone that is 6'3 with a 42 inch vertical. Thats probably just a little more than he would need to dunk. Why he's playing tennis instead of basketball, I couldn't tell you.

I dont really think those pads are accurate because you always lift some part of your legs up therefore making the pad think the vert is higher
