In which world was Delpo a favorite for the AO ? A tournament where his best performance so far is a QF appearanceamazing way to knockout one of the favorites of the tournament in only his 6th grand slam appearance
in my world he was one of the favorites, I'd say 4th after Djokovic, Nadal and MurrayIn which world was Delpo a favorite for the AO ? A tournament where his best performance so far is a QF appearance![]()

He's won a slam and has five-set semi-final appearances at others. Overhyped? He is an overhyped clown. Some people never learn.
I think the bookies had him as the 3rd or 4th most likely to winIn which world was Delpo a favorite for the AO ? A tournament where his best performance so far is a QF appearance![]()
Who cares. What has he done since winning that lone slam? Yet some people want to try and make him out to be the next big thing, the next number one, the next this or that. It is not happening. Yep, he is way overhyped imo. He's won a slam and has five-set semi-final appearances at others. Overhyped?
He almost made the Wimbledon final last year. Got to a M1000 final by beating Djokovic and Murray. Beat Federer a couple of times. Won a couple of tournaments in commanding fasion. These are all things that players ranked #5-10 rarely do. I think he has shown that he is a small step above players like Tsonga and Berdych. He still has those bad matches like today though, where he just looks fatigued and he's constantly being dominated by his opponent.Who cares. What has he done since winning that lone slam? He is probably overhyped, but calling him a clown is harsh. He has beaten Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray in big matches in the past 12 months. He was very close to upsetting Djokovic at Wimbledon SFs last year. When you see him play the kind of tennis he did in the Indian Wells, Wimbledon, and Shanghai last year its not hard to see why people have high expectations for him.Who cares. He's hyped as the next #1 because he's clearly the best of the rest. Sure he can't beat the top 4 when it counts usually, but he challenges them more than anyone else.Who cares. True this...I'll bet JMDP rethinks his '15 schedule and avoids defending his Sydney title. The heat played some role in this,,play was suspended yesterday due to excessive heat.Agut managed it better.
congrats to agut
