Rod Laver - Nick Kyrgios should be suspended

Nick is talented when it comes to making some unique shots but that's not what talent is all about. He reminds me of football players who can juggle a ball with every part of their body, acting like as if they were genius players, only to fail on the pitch when it's actually about PLAYING football.

Nick is either trying to sell us, that he could win slams easily if he actually tried, despite knowing he can't or he is acting nuts on purpose to stay relevant in the public eyes, since he obviously is not able to do it on the court.

Kyrgios’s entire career summed up ^

I am not sure that Nick is trying to sell us any of what you here say.

Nick is an odd one. His serve alone is as good or better than Raonic, and uninjured Raonic did so well. Add to that the rest of Nick's game, and it will net him way more than Raonic has done. Nick could win slams, especially in current day tour, but he simply refuses to care, always finding some trifling matter to focus on. Le Sigh.

I don’t get why mental toughness is perceived by some as something you can develop if you all of a sudden just start “caring” but various shots you either have or don’t.

Nick doesn’t have the head or heart of a multi slam winner.

He’s also arguably deficient in other areas, among others, movement and fitness.

When the GOAT says you should be suspended, it's a good time to reevaluate your life.

I must find that old thread that I have made, intended for statements of former ATG done to serve the current status quo. There is so much material for it. From Mads, Mac, etc.

Let's also bear in mind that ATGs like Mats Wilander who contradicts himself more often then the US President, and Ken Rosewall who wants to reinstate the "feet planted while serving" rule, also exist.

I never know. Either Kyrgios is an a**hole, just acts like one because he has issues, or everyone else is lame. Which one is it...
