Roddick and Soderling out of Montreal.

so disappointing. hopefully this lights a fire under him when he returns, not forces him to retire..

Second year on the trot that Rodders has skipped Canada. Doesn't he like playing there or something?

Always seems to be fit enough for Cincy!

Yess.... Now there is 0 chance I will get to see pushy Roddick play. I couldnt be happier.

A shame for Soda though, would have been nice to witness that power live.

Though I was served in that regard 2 years ago when Delpo was playing the best tennis of his career.

if this keeps up,,,roddick may have to go on anti-depressants.

Hope they won't contain any banned substances! :)

Seriously, it's a shame Roddick is passing up the chance to gain some ranking points in Canada which could have put him back in the top 10.He's only 55 points behind Almagro so he may only have needed to make the 3rd round. As things stand, this means he may have to face some of the top players in the early rounds of Cincy.

He is injured, he has no choice in the matter. His injury takes 2 to 3 weeks to heal. Give him some slack.

Mainad wasn't criticizing Roddick; he was just pointing out how Roddick could've began his rise back through the rankings. Give him some slack.

Very disappointed in Roddick pulling out from Montreal, some fans in attendance told me that this morning while watching Rafa practice and they were disappointed as well.

With the number of tournament Roddick's keep pulling out of this year because of "injuries", he might as well pull out from the tour altogether or just admit that he never recovered from the "injury" Roger gave him at Wimbledon 2009.

Roddick was one of my favorite players ever, but this is becoming ridiculous, he pulled out of so many tournaments this year. Oh well so much for seeing the Roddick serve live which I always wanted to see.

He really doesn't seem to like to come to Canada the past few years. Either that or this time of the year is always a bad time for Roddick injury-wise.

What......how is Roddick going to get back to the top 10 now....it seems impossible.

It seemed like Roddick was in trouble this time last year and worked his way into the top eight once again for the tour finals. Maybe he will again ... It seems like anybody outside of the top six is vulnerable anyway. Andy may never again win a major but he certainly has a chance to extend the number of years he's in the top 10.

I don't see Roddick making the tour finals again this year unless he makes deep runs at cincy and the uso. Completely possible, but I dunno. I'll give him one more year.
