Unsurprising. Some of the toxic fans on Twitter just seem to exist because Djokovic does, and always post about how he cheats or dopes, one of them has a Kosovo flag in their bio, so you can see where that tension is from.

Look at the dates in these stories. Djokovic confirmed he had surgery on June 6th, after struggling with the decision:

These stories on the Serbian Olympic Committee guy saying he didn't have the surgery date back to June 5th.
So yes, when Maljkovic called Novak's uncle it's possible or even likely that the surgery hadn't yet been performed.

His reasoning for as to why Nadal hasn't won more major titles in the same timeframe as Djokovic since 2015 is because he only plays part-time.

He's at Wimbledon whipping the kids in practice sets already. And he did the airplane move with a torn meniscus?

If you tear your meniscus while playing, you don't just keep playing. Especially not someone like that who's so careful with his body that he won't even take vaccines. That's the type of injury where you immediately stop and realize you need to see a doctor.

fritz said they only had to trim his meniscus so im pretty sure his wasn’t a bucket tear. djokovic had a bucket tear which requires stiches 99% of the time. did djokovic get stitches? thats the question. if they only had to trim it there’s no reason he couldn’t play as long as he just heals from the surgery. BUT someone said he had a bucket tear so wth o_O

Bucket tear comes from a supposed screenshot of L'Equipe article someone posted on reddit (the same one that said Novak's playing Hamburg). Didn't look into it, but there's an actual interview with Novak's surgon, though it's hidden behind the paywall. No details regarding the surgery, but he did mention that "99% of players" would require emergency treatment in this situation, even if they were on painkillers.

I've been watching Roddick's video podcasts, and he only has the utmost respect for the top guys, really interesting perspective on things, keeps it really real and down to Earth.

Guy absolutely hates fanatics as well lol, addressed it in his last video, kinda surprised he went back and forth with this guy.

someone above said he used to be here but got banned? I tend to agree with you that toxic clowns should not be given exposure, but in this instance, i think an exception is perhaps in order as he damages Djokovic's reputation alot claiming he knows Novak and jelena, when he doesnt really at all. He comes across as a stalker and people like that need to be called out as they could become dangerous, there are hundreds of examples going back decades, not just since the advent of the internet.

If you wanna change the rules the change the rules.

Don’t complain if someone lawfully uses them to their advantage in competitive sports.

Especially someone who was number 1 a few weeks ago and has won this tournament seven times.

And it’s not like he’s using someone else’s spot. He’s earned the spot over the last year by playing better than most. If he’s allowed to take the time it’s because he’s earned it; let him take the time.

If you wanna make the draw then make it like a man by earning your spot.

to me its the same as trying to hit your opponent at net.. its legal but unless its an accident usually only aholes do it…

if djokovic wants to be liked as much as people say, all he has to do is ask himself “what would federer do?”. and do that.

The point is, we have to beat whoever is infront of us and if we are meeting them a lot then they are our generation. Nadal won 13 slams before Wawrinka won his 1st slam, Wawrinks is actually older than Nadal, Nadal himself won tonnes of slams before Novak won his second, so we cannot classify generations based on few years apart or when people mature, all that is outdate logic. Today generation gap is what approaches 10 years because when people are 9-10 or above apart then long rivalries cannot be forged, anything under that is same generation.
