To me this is an interesting debate. Roddick holds a slam on hard courts at the US Open. On the other hand roddick has lost in his share of wimbledon finals to roger federer. To me, I think roddick is better on the grass courts. Some disagree, and say he is better on hard courts.

Yeah, I agree.

If Roddick faced Federer in the 2003 USO final, who knows if he would have won.

He would definitely hold more Wimbledon titles than USO titles if Federer didn't play tennis.

Something like 3 Wimby's and 2 USO's is my guess.

We have to see how new-Roddick plays this summer on the US hardcourts, and that will give us a better idea of what to expect. Less weight and more speed means he can fight for balls that would be out of his reach on a US hardcourt.

Really, since the beginning of this year compared to previous he's almost a brand new player and it's hard to compare and put them together.

He's relatively stronger on grasscourts and that's where his best chances will lay. Very fast US hardcourts suit him well too though. But the grasscourt competition is just much weaker

The interview I'd like to hear is exactly what Larry Stepanki (sp?) changed in the way of Andy's training regiment and approach to the game. The most obvious one is the weight issue (motivates me to shed a few). Stepanki's stock, which was already pretty high, took another jump today.
