Roddick Pure Drive GT Plus: is it essentially the same as Roddick GT + 2012 model?

I have used both, and the biggest difference is how much softer the PD+ feels, even though they are similar stiffness.

Also you cannot ignore the rather large weight difference between the two. :)

Ive used both all the generation of PDR

the original has the most feel- stiff as hell but is probably the best in my opinion in terms of feel

GT had loads of power and spin but lacked loads of feel, couldnt find the right touch.

Active Cortex address this slightly and is a bit less stiff.

They all play pretty much similar, I would pay extra just for the paintjob alone, but since its on sale for 100 i would just get two of them.

Thanks for response... Sorry, I am getting mixed up on the racquet names.

1. Babolat Pure Drive Roddick Plus 2012

2. Babolat Pure Drive Roddick GT Plus

I believe they are are both made of the same material -- Graphite Tungsten. (The TW link is out of date and states that it is graphite/kevlar).

So the "GT" designation is meaningless?

So when you say the PD+ feels softer, are you referring to #1? or #2?

Oh sorry! I didn't look at the link haha.

The difference between is the feel. The blue PDRGT+ is a little bit softer feeling I found, while the Black Drive Roddick Plus, feels a lot crisper.

Interesting.

Yeah, I picked up 2 PDR GT + when the season started. For a $100 and just had to put in the proper strings for myself(went full on synthetic) and I am very happy I was able to pick up 2 great sticks(for my game) for the price of 1.

I came from using a Wilson Hyper Pro-staff 5.1 Surge x
