I found it interesting who Raonic got to be at his fundraiser: The Toronto Lawn Tennis Club is proud to announce a special event taking place at the Club on Thursday, November 15th – the inaugural Raonic Race for Kids. The Milos Raonic Foundation will host its first fundraising event in conjunction with Tennis Canada’s “Let’s Make Tennis Matter for Kids” campaign. Join us in the Pavilion for a fun series of circuit-style challenges – shooting hoops, putting contests, ping pong to name a few - completed by 12 Teams Captained by a Toronto Lawn member. Each team will have a Guest Celebrity/Athlete acting as Honourary Team Captain. To participate, each team is required to fundraise a minimum of $5,000.00. The prizes for the top fundraising team include the right to have Milos as their Honourary Team Captain and to attend a private pre-event cocktail party and a post-event hitting session with him. The prizes for the team winning the most challenge points will include being awarded the Raonic Cup and tickets to the Face Off Exhibition and Meet and Greet Cocktail Party taking place on November 16th. Prizes will be presented at the post-race Awards Ceremony/After Party by Milos and his friends Daniel Nestor, Serena Williams and Andy Roddick. Team registration will take place on Monday, October 1st. Information on how you can be part of this very special event – as a Team Captain, Team Participant or Challenge Station Sponsor – is available at TLTC Reception or by contacting Cheryl Crawford, Event Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org or Simon Bartram, Tennis Director at email@example.com.
