A-Rod is really a fighter. He must have tossed his racquet a dozen times inthe 3 set SF win over Berdych. Played a great match, fought like a starved dog for a bone, really played solid smart tactical tennis and got the job done, attacking the net at key times, slice backhand approaches, tremendous defense, breaking down a sharp looking Berdych. Never remember seeing a top 10 player throw his racquet so much inthe SF of a small event, like A-rod, he really really wants a big start to '10 and is putting a lot of pressure on himself to do well early after the downer of his 2009 second half. His team, Stefanki, Spreen and wife just sit there passive, even maybe ever so slightly embarrassed at his somewhat ugly behavior. It's got to be tough to watch Roddick play over and over, day after day, the guy is so hyper and driven but so ungraceful on the court. Ungraceful compared to others like Federer and Djokovic and Monfils, etc. No disrespect but A-rod does not have an aesthetic game.
