yep i just looks at the draw and realised Ginepri took his place with Mahut being the LL. Hes dropped out of the top 10 for sure after missing Legg Mason. I think he will be about 12/13th. Its lucky he didnt do well in Rogers Masters last year.

Big time, he lost to Paul-Henri Mathieu in which this amazing point happened http://www.atptennis.com/en/mercedesbenz/archive_2005.asp?AssetID=1118

I was there in the tunnel, waiting for Nadal to come in after Roddick...man was the crowd electric after that point.

Um, no, it's not "lucky that he didn't do well last year."

After he dosn't play this year, he'll be in the same position points-wise regardless of whether he played it last year. And I'm sure he would have rather spent a year WITH those points on his record, plus the money for the extra couple of rounds, than without.

Roddick's points aren't the issue, his health is. I think it's bad for the US Open series that he's had to pull out of two tournaments due to the back strain, but pulling out of Toronto is smart as he has no points to defend there but does have finalist points to defend in Cincy. It's imperative that he get 100% healthy for Cincy and USO.

Exactly???? a good job he didnt do well last year? because if he did he would of lost even more points and drop out of top 20 and maybe face someone big in the 3rd round like Blake Nadal or Federer when the us open comes. Would u like that?

Ok..look at it this way.
-Roddick didn't get far last year.
-If he would have gotten further he would have gained more points.
-He would have kept those points over to this year.
-EITHER WAY his points for that tourney are reversed to 0, so he would be in the same exact position if he would have gotten further last year.
