Roddick is rocking the low socks without any ankle braces. American tennis is slowly becoming Agassi-esque.

Our guy in the UK asked him about it after, he said he gets compliments on his legs all the time so would show some more. I like it tbh, dont see what people are scared of.

Yeah I like the look too, less bulky!

Unrelated - with the start of the grass season I love the way that grass is looking in HD photos. Makes me wanna go lay down in it :)

No big deal imo. Just glad the roddick wasn't literally "doing a fish". That would be a weird way to start the grass court season...

I want Nole to try that look at Wimby.

I'll be sure to get tickets during the first week, just so I can take pics and post them on here.

I wear black ankle socks playing tennis. Once you wear them you will never want to wear anything else. I also happen to really like how they look.

Ditching the ankle braces should help his movement, good idea to make one last push for Wimbledon.

Here's something a little more interesting: unless he switched before the injury, it looks like he's back to PHT in the mains.

In the UK it's very rare for guys to wear these socks for tennis, you'd be laughed out of a lot of clubs. It's much more accepted in America.

Not exactly what he said. Andy said that his wife Brooklyn gets compliments for her beautiful legs. He did not want to be left out.I am showing my legs too, <he said> and it seems he shaved them too.It is all a big joke. And as for his ankle braces, he took them off after Miami because his feet felt numbed by them. His coach Larry said that he feels free without them.
And his shorts are shorter too. We see more of his awesome legs.....whohoooooo

I high school I was ridiculed for wearing knee high basketball socks (think early 80s NBA). It's a good thing won-loss records were determined by skill, over looking stylish.

Um, do they make you play better, or is it the way the girls swoon at the sight of your ankles?

haha, it's how they feel. Wearing ankle socks makes every other pair of socks feel slightly uncomfortable. I wear them 99% of the time. I also happen to like how they look.

Unless I am playing on a clay court or going skiing I don't see any reason to wear anything else.

Hmmm. American Chick here. Never really understood the long socks thing. Looks kinda dorky to me. So I'm probably of the "accepted" sort.

And personally, I much prefer the "low-cut" or ankle socks (as opposed to the crew). Much more for us ladies to see.

But shaved legs? I'm...eh?...on it. Knew some college football players, though, that shaved...just to keep all that tape from pulling the hairs on their legs. I say it serves 'em right, for all the bikini waxes we ladies endure. :p

Thats because 80/90% of our clubs here are full of stuck up snobs, hence why we dont get normal kids of the street playing...

I think he's also wearing a legit, stock pair of Propulse 3s. Normally I saw him wearing some "pj" version, but I think this may be the real pair now
