Roger Federer: ´I Missed My Chances´

Kind of sad the US Open is supposed to be faster than Cincy and Dubai, but it's actually slower.

Balls were just sitting to Novak, Fed really couldn't penetrate the court.
I'm not so sure about that. The thing is that nobody can penetrate Djokovic atm.

Fed has 2 problems. He is either too aggressive which is fine but sometimes he rushes things out. He needs to find some kinda balance. Also, Djokovic's movement is just too good. Most of the time when he is mediocre he still manages to win.

I don't actually blame Fed at all. He is still playing great. He is still good and he would have won against anybody. The relentless Djokovic was on the other side of the net. Don't forget there are always two players playing a tennis match. ;)

Big Time. I think in Roger's case "Old habits die hard". It was in plain sight for his team to analyze. I dont think Edberg or even Rod Laver would have had an actual impact.

The trend is astonishing especially against peak baseliners regardless of court/conditions. Nadal has for ever etched something in Rogers head.
In order to complete the list of break point conversion rates in the 11 GS finals losses of Federer:
FO 2008: 1/4 (25%)
Wim 2019: 7/13 (54%) not bad at all and better than his opponent, but not enough.

Fed - 20 wins, 11 finals lost (10 of them to the other two) * Del Potro, the non other Big Three loss
Nadal - 18 wins, 8 finals lost (7 of them to the other two) * Wawrinka, the non other Big Three loss
Djoko - 16 wins, 9 finals lost (5 of them to the other two) * Murray (2) and Wawrinka (2), the non other Big Three losses
So, Djoko is the least mentally strong of the 3.

Looks like Djokovic is the choker out of the Big 3 and Nadal ... well he's the Clay King.
