That was so generous of you OP....I thought Federer has 0 slams...

somewhere in a parallel universe, there is a TTW forum, where people appreciate the greatest players without trying to debate on the weak field, moral winner and other BS

Nadal's 2005 Roland Garros victory is stronger by the cited measurements than six Federer grand slam victories.
so in the cited 6 victories, the top 100 professionals were denied access to main draw, and subsequently Roger had to face amateurs?
or is there any chance that he faced those opponents who were stronger then the rest in a given 2 weeks of time on a given surface?

Why start another thread of this weak era, untalented, choking mugfest named Fed? He's had a lousy career, just move on. Next time start a thread on really talented guys who have made an impact on the game, players like Casper Ruud or John Millman.
Why Ruud or Millman when we have the Big 2?

True, but you enjoy posts that put a shadow on Fed, you 'innocent.
@augustobt was the one who complained about fanbase wars a few days ago, and I said I will quote him next time he sh*tposts on Nadal. (what he does 90% of times I see him in any thread) I enjoy the wars and am not shy about it.

Just the fact that Federer's Australian Open 2004 run is included amongst the weakest shows the obvious flaws. Federer went through 4 former world number 1s, 3 of which being slam champions, in a row to win the title. Safin was pretty gassed, granted, but the rest played reasonably well if you actually watch the matches.

I've tackled the problems with taking Elo ratings at face value in a previous thread by showing some egregious results if you actually inspect the numbers. But the main problems with Elo are that it tends to inflate over time, it takes a very long time to adjust and it isn't necessarily representative of form on the day. It can be useful for predicting outcomes, it's far less useful after the fact. And ultimately, although many people are trying to make tennis Elo happen, it was designed for chess, a very different sport.

Your still not making everybody think Djokovic is the GOAT and he is still 4 slams behind Federer which is quite a lot.

I gave you a factual statement, pal. No one in the history of tennis ever won a major without facing any top 25. You can argue, cry and whine how much you want, but it is what it is.
You are a hypocrite, who whines about fanbase wars killing the forum and then participates in them. Fact.

Actually, posters like you, who never seen a tennis match in your life before a couple of years ago and try to discuss and argue about matches you haven't even seen anything but the scoreline is what is killing not only this board, but good discussions in general. It's actually pitiful. PS: I have nothing personal against you, but it is what it is. This anti-Federer agenda of yours is lunatic and ridiculous.
