Nowadays you could use a 3d Printer to create a customized pallet, but in the case of Roger Federer's Wilson RF97, did it have a customized pallet by Priority One? Or did he use the standard Wilson Pallet that came with the racquet? I have seen Roman Prokes (****) pouring a mold for a pallet in a video, but I was curious if Federer used a custom pallet.

Customizers will normally have a pro player who’s a new client give them a couple of their favorite racquet to work with, one for specs and one to use to make the handle mold. P1 would have made a handle mold using the dimensions - height, width, diagonal, length and so on - of the Wilson handle Federer was using when he went to P1. They would have cleaned up the shape of the upper because Wilson handles from back then had badly molded uppers. It would have been a “custom” handle mold made totally in the Wilson dimensions but with more or less the only difference being the cleaned up upper.
The P1 guys have said themselves that Federer’s buttcap was different from retail for a long time only because they had so many of the retail buttcaps from the NCode time left over, that they would put on his racquets.
The difference between Federer’s “custom“ Wilson handle mold and the retail RF97 mold would’ve become less and less with time since Wilson worked on their factory handle mold. Now with the v8 Blades for example Wilson factory molded handles are imho maybe the best and the upper is not badly molded anymore.

Wilson doesn’t uses Pallets but molded foam handles and yes, P1 molded custom foam handles for Roger.
