I'm interested in this French Open 2009 Champions Outfit and Racket...

Just wondering if Soderlings Racquet is included...

Dear Christie's,

I currently use Babolat (Pure Aero Rafa) so I will not be bidding on the Federer rackets.

I also prefer not to use clothes soiled by other people, so I will not be bidding on the outfits either.

Thank you.

I’ve sold my house to buy the 2009 FO kit and racquet, as they are dirty though and I dont have access to a washing machine, I am now naked and homeless. Thanks Rog

Yes you can see it in the video, no it’s not washed like that you have the smell of Federer's sweat and his dna for authenticity :-D

In all honesty, if I'm dishing out 50k-70k€ for this it better have blood, sweat, tears and clay from the Soderling Final lol

Another record for Roger :)

More than £1.3m has been raised for The Roger Federer Foundation through a Christie’s auction of The Roger Federer Collection, with two of the 20 lots fetching more than £150,000 each.

Swiss tennis great Federer announced earlier this year that he would be put mementos under the hammer in two auctions – The Live Auction and The Online Auction – at Christie’s to raise money for The Roger Federer Foundation.

Christie’s were hoping The Live Auction would raise £1 million for The RF Foundation, but it exceeded those expectations as £1,329,375 was raised for the foundation, which empowers vulnerable children and provides educational resources to children in Africa and Switzerland.

Lot 13, which contained Roger Federer’s Champion Outfit and Racket, French Open, 2009 (estimate £50,000-£70,000) realised more than £150,000 while lot 10 – Roger Federer’s Champion Outfit and Racket, The Championships, Wimbledon 2007 – went for the same amount.

“I can hardly believe that the first 20 lots raised £1,329,375,000. I want to thank all those who bid for my sporting memorabilia and wish the buyers much joy with them,” 20-time Grand Slam winner Federer said.
“I feel very humbled by this first result today knowing the proceeds will allow additional projects that can be undertaken by The Roger Federer Foundation.”

The Online Auction, which includes 300 lots charting Federer’s career from the early days of the Sydney Olympics in 2000 to matches from 2021, opened on June 23 and will run until just after Wimbledon.

He added: “I now look forward to seeing the results from The Online Auction of my sporting memorabilia, which remains open for bidding until 13/14 July, and to playing in The Championships at Wimbledon.
