Roger Federer vs Tiger Woods-A Major Situation

So the 2 are good friends..I just noticed that they are quite the same in many ways..Classy-rich-and the best--but have you noticed that they both have 13 majors and 14 majors respectfully ...Roger played with mono and Tiger with ACL tear..So what i am saying is that Tiger might never heal from that ACL--So who will end up with more majors in their career--We have seen players with ACL tears never fully recover and who knows Tiger may never be the same and win only a couple of majors the rest of his career...So Who Ends their Career with more Major Titles Roger or Tiger Woods

Tiger will have more, of course. He can play golf til he is 45 years old. but Roger only has about 3 years of life left. so in 3 years, he will win no more than probably 3 more majors, then he is done. Still not bad since that is more than Sampras.

its golf buddy.tiger will be fine as the ACL will not be such a huge factor like it would be in an athletic sport like tennis.

Pfft, neither of them are Rob Key so I don't care.

He is THE BALLS.

I could see Federer still competing at a high level well into his 30's maybe even as long as Connors when he made the Semi's at the age of 39 at the 1991 US Open. Anything is possible if he stays healthy and remains motivated for that long.

yeah, back at connors time not everyone was a bashline basher like they are today. i'd find it hard to believe that anyone above the age of 30 can compete competitively amongst the top players.

Roger used to be called th " TIGER WOODS " of tennis when he was still "dominant". But surely Tiger is gonna have more majors!!Roger has fewer years in his tennis tank than Tiger does!

Indeed.

If V. Singh, who's 45, can still compete for Majors, then I'm pretty sure Tiger can at that age as well.

What gives me confidence that Federer can play well past 30 is a few examples:

Andre Agassi played well into his 30s and consistently beat up on the young guns and reached hard court finals, even winning some.

And even now, Carlos Moya is 32 and in a major final. That's is incredible and I'm happy for him.

So I believe that Federer can both compete in his 30s and win in his 30s. 33 he might have to start slowing down.
