Will Rodger the Codger continue his dominance, or will Daveed the Ferrer get to scream, "nobody beats David Ferrer 15 times in a row!" to Federer's face?
Sorry but Daveeed doesn't have the game.
You do realize he beat Nadal at Monte Carlo this year?
Different style altogether. Ferrer has never been able to handle the movement Fed has.
What do you mean? Nadal moves faster than Federer.
What do you mean? Nadal moves faster than Federer.
Different movement. Both Ferrer and Nadal play like they are in a war, and move like it. Rafa just has more weapons, especially on clay.
Fed's movement uses little to no torque on the body, and unlike Nadal, Ferrer does not have weapons to overcome that. Every match, Fed just puts Ferru on a leash.
Fed has better movement than Nadal, just not on clay....all imo. Nadal is more explosive, yes.
I don't understand that at all. Why does Ferrer care how his opponent moves? He only cares about his opponent's court coverage.
Let me tell you this...I want to be wrong. Trust me. I'm a huge Ferrer fan.
But look at this...

It's 7-5 6-3, but look how much work Ferrer has to put in to win a single point. Federer literally controls every shot and every point.
Federer in 2 easy sets, much to the chagrin of WinstonPlum. Looking forward to reading another another one of his psychotic threads when I get back from the match tomorrow night.

I kind of agree. It's really tough to choose between them but...
Clay movement: Nadal> Federer> Djokovic
Grass movement: Federer > Nadal > Djokovic
Hard movement: Federer = Djokovic = Nadal
It's just really hard to choose between them on Hards. The rest is pretty clear to me.

Federer looking good to actually win this event how it stands right now. He's got to be liking his chances.
Clay movement: Nadal >> Federer 1/2> Djokovic
Grass movement: Federer > Nadal >> Djokovic
Hard movement: Djokovic 1/2> Federer > Nadal
I think Murray is going to be reinvigorated by the opportunity presented to him here. Would be fascinating to see a match between the two.
I kinda wish I could see Murray and Ferrer in the quarter instead of Fed. Their matches are always wars.
Nadal's movement two levels above Nole'Clay movement: Nadal >> Federer 1/2> Djokovic

Considering the fact that Fed lost every big final he has played so far this year, I am not liking his chances to win the eventYes, that would be an interesting final indeed at this point! I think they both have legit chances to win the tournament.

By big final I mean masters and slams. He has lost all 3 this yearDo u know the way to Dubai??? He beat some fellow there that's pretty good IIRC!
Ugh, Miami 2013 final comes to mind:-?
Their match-up makes a tad too much of a push-fest for my taste.

s on grass? Really Nathaniel??
Nobody beats David Ferrer 15 times in a row!
Fed will be tired. Old age.
I think it could be Ferrer's time. Fed will lose to Raonic anway.
What makes you think that Federer's movement is better than Nole's on clay?
Ferrer's 32 and has thousands of more miles on his body than Federer based off his style of play.
Federer is 33, Ferrer is younger
You mean the 6 month younger, David "Just can't beat Federer" Ferrer ?
Yes, I mean him. I've already picked Federer to win, but everything I stated on that post is factual.
Styles are different. Fed's a dancer, Ferrer a Sherman Tank through a brick wall.
Fed has no big injuries, Ferrer has nagging ones that are getting bigger.
