In other news, Davydenko has been in the same 4-5 game for at least 10 minutes now. Kiefer finally takes set 2 6-4. At this rate Ferrer-Gasquet might have to be moved to Centre so that they'll finish at a reasonable time.

Andreev didn't play like that in Umag, far more clean strokes than now, as well as some adventures at the net. Must say I liked it better and it's not as if the current strategy is working very well.

His ankle MIGHT be bothering him with his movement and making him more cautious, not sure about that though. Perhaps he'll change up his strategy second set, but with the way Nadal is playing it'll take some great serving for that to happen.

Davy match is really good, hard flat hitting all around with consistent 20+ shot rallies most of the points :shock:. Good stuff. Both guys really at the top of their games and hitting the cover off of the ball - better hard court match in my opinion than the Andreev-Nadal one.

Kiwi squeezes through 6-4 in the third. Great play at the end of the set and two errors cost Davy the match. The way Kiefer is playing he's got as good a shot as anyone in that section now to make the final.

I remember a match they played last year in Japan, where Gasquest was up 1-0, 40-0, and Ferrer just steamrolled. Maybe Gasquet has learned, but the match just started.
