TLDR 1: It is complicated and the results are dependent on individual factors.
TLDR 2: Hair Transplant is far from an option for diffuse thinners and not every bald or balding man is an HT candidate.
Longer story:
- Because you would need to get on medication to preserve what's left on top.
- The hair on the sides and back are redistributed on top, which means that the hair on the sides and back which are used for transplant will NOT grow back in the back (they take out the entire follicle)
- Conclusion: no human has enough donor hair on the sides and back to get the full head of thick hair one had before MPB.
Look at your idol Sampras, he had a hair transplant. It still looks ridiculous because of the three reasons above
For Nadal and Sampras:
- They are balding diffusely, and you cannot put hair in places where it's already growing. Of course, it is possible, but it comes with a risk called shock loss (the native hair on the top of the head are at risk of being damaged when transplanting the donor hair which is not always desirable).
Also, Nadal had a Hair Transplant and it didn't work out well because of the above mentioned reasons (you probably couldn't even tell Nads had a HT which is why you're wondering why he isn't getting one despite having millions).

My co-worker who just turned 30 and has literally nothing on the top of his head...THAT dude went bald fast.
I am less bald than a lot of guys my age and I'm still way more bald than he is. He is honestly lucky. Yeah, he will lose it one day, but he's on a very slow track.

Generalisation. Plenty who are bald and plenty who have great hair. Fernando Verdasco, Mikel Arteta, Arsène Wenger, Steven Gerrard, Olivier Giroud, Gerard Pique, Sergio Ramos etc. Have great hair.
On average, Asians (you mean Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Koreans) have better hair genes.
But still plenty of people in Europe have great hair.
