Baggy gets broken in the 4th. I'm not watching so I don't know if he's gone completely walkabout or if Andreev is playing spectacularly - although his stats are appalling so I suspect the former. Those of you watching, do you think it's more or less over for Baggy?

Yeah it's over. He can't run anymore. he's too tired and outplayed.

Andreev played a very solig game after the first set. He deserved the victory.

Yeah definitely. Baghdatis couldn't cope with all the angles Andreev came up with and all the topspin he fired.

If it was a hard court Baghdatis would have a chance because of Andreev's serve imo but you never know.

I wonder why he was tired. He's had easy time up until round of 16..

Anyway, his 1st set showed why Baghdy can be dangerous.
down break 0-2 and turn around the set in a hurry.

After that he was making unforced errors everywhere and his serve percentage was very poor.

Vamos in Greek :D

There is a sexy blonde woman in the spectators who could be Andreev's sister or girlfriend :o
She's hot! :D
I heard Igor was dating Maria Kirilenko last year, that might have been her.

sorry for you nice people, im rooting for igor. go russia!
I agree, sorry Baghdatis fans. I actually thought he had more of a chance winning this match beforehand, but I was rooting for Igor. I expected him to do well at the start of this clay season, and I'm really glad that he's getting it back together. His "cinderella" story reminds me of like Baghdatis at last year's AO.

Even though Nadal beat Andreev a few weeks ago, does anyone think that he could be a threat, given his current form?

He could pose a threat to Nadal but he has to pick up his game from the beginning of the match unlike today where Baghdatis got 6 straight games and won the 1st set 6-2. Nadal doesn't forgive mistakes and off sets.

It's called being in shape! The French doesn't forgive a lack of conditioning and "Baggy" as much as I love his game and style, is not in top tennis shape. The same thing is likely to prevent Serena from doing what she did at the Australian.

May b this site will let us know in advance who will b ther champion

www.anitauniverse.com

Here we go again. Sure.

Like how we were told in advance about these:

Nikolay Davydenko RUS (4) vs. David Nalbandian ARG (15)

Winner: David Nalbandian

Marcos Baghdatis CYP (16) vs. Igor Andreev RUS

Winner: Marcos Baghdatis

And the best of them all:

Lleyton Hewitt AUS (14) vs. Rafael Nadal ESP (2)

Winner: Lleyton Hewitt

The scores of the 2 matches follow eachother

Kolya and Federer broke in the 1st game and both Robredo and Canas broke back in the 4th game of the match

2-2 both

The 4 semifinalists will be the top 4 in the rankings next week so we couldn´t ask for higher quality players in the SF. Roddick will fall to no. 5.

Me too *high five*
No doubt Zaragoza has already gotten more stupid from not being able to read our posts.

I need to know if I need to wake up earlier than 7am to watch the men's semis online on that proxy.espn... link (or whatever is available on channelsurfing.net). I am in Eastern zone US. Thanks.

Someone had posted a link for trhough Russian TV (CCTV or something like that). They posted in the General Playeer Discussion section. I hope someone can dig it up.

The guy with 33% chances won the FO dropping only 1 set in the tournament. It seems he deserved more credit in the poll.
Anyway Felicidades Rafa, campeón!
