Eagerly anticipating this one. Live TV coverage in our country, to countrymen making it into the main draw (Haase and Huta Galung) and Federer AGAIN going for his first Roland Garros tournament are the most important things for me. Besides that I hope Karlovic, Ferrero and Nalbandian go deep. I also hope Hewitt can win a match or two to be ready for the grass court season.. He was such a presence there.

Will this tournament start tomorrow or Monday?

Wish you had NOT made this poll public. I am afraid of voting for Federer publicly. :)
I am really eager on seeing who all make it to the quarters.

We already know the schedule of play for Sunday. Djokovic, Nalbandian, Blake, Moya, Murray and Almagro are playing tomorrow, also Kuerten.

Tough. I'm not sure if Roger can make it to the finals at all, let alone beat Nadal. I can't see anyone else giving Nadal serious trouble, unless he injures himself.

Schedule of play is out for tomorrow. Nalbandian and Ivanovic will play at 11:00 CET. Djokovic will be the second match after Ivanovic, he'll be followed by Kuerten. No Ferrer, Davydenko, Federer, Nadal, tomorrow.

Tsonga, Kiefer and Fognini withdrew.
LL Marc Lopez (SPA) will play Nieminen and LL Ouanna (FRA) will play Del Potro.
Horna gets to the main draw too (1st round vs Jenkins).

Maybe it's because Nadal's fans are more superstitious... I want Rafa to win but I won't do the poll as an anti-jinxing precaution!

Why don´t you vote for Federer then?

I am more worried about Djokovic then Federer at the French Open this year to be honest (watching both play in Hamburg confirmed this to me). So now hearing the jinxing idea I will vote Djokovic to hopefully jinx him, and one of the other Nadal fans can do Federer.

Once again Fed is leading in the polls? I guess some of you will always pick him to win no matter what.

Thats what true fans do, supporting him no matter what. I however voted for Djokovic just to jinx him ;) because I know its no use Jinxing Nadal, especially at FO, unfortunately..

Djokovic doesn't even need a jinx. On clay, he's nothing but one of the pack chasing Federer and Nadal.

He outperformed Federer in Rome by a long ways, and he impressed me more with his performance vs Nadal in Hamburg then Federer did, and Nadal was in worse physical shape (appeared to be) in the final then Djokovic. Only in Monte Carlo did Federer outdo Djokovic for me, so in 2 of the 3 biggest events on clay so far this year Djokovic>Federer for me.

Agreed. I think Nadal can go through both but Djokovic will be the toughest matchup imo. Btw I don't believe in this superstitious stuff. I voted Nadal as I've been doing the last couple years on clay events.

I voted Federer. However, another name that I think can cause some trouble this year is Söderling. He's been red-hot on clay lately.

He has mental issues sometimes. Can lose easily when hes supposed to win and playing good, like in Rotterdam vs Llodra in final.

As always it seems, Nadal's health has to be a concern. He hasn't been able perform quite as well on clay this year as last year or the year before. I could see him losing. But, nonetheless, he is the favorite. Djokovic, though impressive, is still is a step behind Nadal on clay--even with Nadal’s apparent injuries. And Federer, ever so disappointingly, has not been himself for some time now, and therefore I don’t expect him to defeat Nadal if they meet in the final again…as they should.

3 tournament wins in 4 weeks? My has Nadal fallen. I guess you didn't notice Nadal had to play 4 tournaments in 4 weeks. Impossible schedule so he had to give up on Rome due to blisters and fatigue. Hamburg courts don't suit him due to the low bounces. If you were going to say the tournament that mattered the most to Nadal's form, I would have to say Monte Carlo or Barcelona. A week off should be enough time for Nadal. Most rest he has had in a month.

I think Nadal´s health is more of a concern for those who want to see him lose.
Well, he won 3 tournaments in 4 weeks. We knew from the start that he could not win everything playing 4 consecutive weeks. The schedule was crazy and it costed him Rome. Other than that his clay season has been excellent as usual.

I'm little annoyed by that myself even thoughI'm a Fed fan.Since 2005 Nadal has played about 280-290 matches and has won the most physically demanding slam 3 times(and was able to recover enough ro reach Wimbledon finals shortly after that),he wouldn't have been able to do that if he wasn't healthy.A guy like Murray has a lot more problems with injuries then Nadal for example but people tend to overly focuse on Nadal's health all the time.

Many others come to mind when we talk about injuries like Tsonga for ex. but lets face the fact that Nadal had stress fractures while very young. Add tendinitis, knee in wimbledon and many smaller issues like blisters, leg, back whtever else was bothering him and you get the whole picture of why is Nadal's health ongoing topic.

Maybe you're right but most of the players play with some nagging injuries or blisters or whatever,it is very rare to see a guy like Fed who is healthy almost all the time(and even he had some ankle problems at the end of 2005 and beggining of 2006).And so far Nadal is playing tons of matches and winning slams, you can't do that if you're seriously injured.

Well he does play with those also, but he was absent during the best part of the beggining of the 2005 and for some time during the 2006. Those stress fractures he had were career-threatning.

I dont know. Im asking myslef this question over and over. Will he be able to maintain the level of play and improve on it through years or will he just burn out or get seriously injured. I dont like the feeling I have but its something like - he's playing every tourney as if it is the last one he'll play. Maybe its his determination, but I feel like he is so humble and everything because he knows it can end here and now. I read about the injuries he had while younger and that was serious stuff. Docs predicted he'll never have a shot at being a pro, let alone be where he is now.

Otherwise, if he still has 10 years in him, thats some serious stuff. He could be one of the all time greats potentialy.

Btw RG STARTED !!! ;)

Are you watching Ana ? I feel she is struggling a bit but looks like in better shape than in Rome.

Yeah I'm watching her,I rarely miss Jelena or Ana play(or Kirilenko).I hope Ana can go far this year in FO even though she had a bad clay season so far.

Hey die hard tennis fans. I see everyone is up and watching already (although in most of your cases it should be midday, eh)? Enjoy the matches - I'll be watching the live scores from work. Bah!

They´re showing Gil vs Chardy now, that´s a good stream to watch french players you never heard of before :)

By the way Nalbandian is leading 6-2 3-1

Nalbandian is destroying Berlocq. I switched on and off to that match but he is in good form, phisicaly and playingwise. 3-0 in 3rd set with 2 breaks in hand.

Nalbandian 5-0 up, backhand is just amasing, he had one backhand smash here. Display of flare and talent.
