Whats this now ? Murray vs Almagro, 10th and 19th seed, on court 7 and scheduled to play third ? Thats for being a match of the day, I need a Space satelite and one Einstain to calculate when will it begin.

I think that's great for real tennis fans. Chauvinists and socialites can pay the big bucks to go see Llodra and PHM at the center court while real tennis fans can attend more affordable, more interesting matches at other courts. A win-win situation for live attendance. Now if TV coverage would include the lesser courts, that would be perfect.

Nieminen's serve is quite attackable and you don't have to ask Nadal twice. Break at love, Nadal to serve for the set 5-1.

If you ever wanted to know just how good Rafa is on clay, just watch how much his opponents celebrate when they win a game against him.

Well, it was not only a game, but a break to be back on serve and the first game he won after losing 6 in a row. And he holds after a long long game. Nieminen leads 2-1* on the second set.

If Verdasco wins his match Nadal would play 4 straight lefties in his first four matches.

It doesn't matter,Nadal will crush all of them anyway. The players who can give Nadal trouble on clay IMO are Djokovic(potential semifinal but that's still far away),Nalbandian(disappointed this year at FO),Kolja(on opposite side of the draw),Ferrer(also on opposite side of the draw),possibly Wawrinka(if only because of a great backhand but he's on opposite side of the draw also)and of course Federer(potential final).I would honestly be surprised if Nadal lost a set until the semis.

That's good, so he won't be used to righties anymore in the final

Actually he is getting one hell of a practise on shots he uses less often:
Inside out Fh,DTL BH, serve wide on the Deuce court and DTL on the Ad

ESPN and Eurosport commentators are seeing Nadal's parents and have no clue who they are or why the french director is showing them.
One of them even said he thinks she is Nieminen's mom...

I was only talking about the fans all around the world. I agree that for the people who are there, it is a good thing to see such good players up close on a smaller cheaper court, yet if they are not going to put it on air millions of other fans will suffer.

Here's a scary thought. The guy is 21, soon to be 22 (next tuesday, I think.) What if he is only now starting to peak?

I don't know about that,IMO Nadal is a very early bloomer(like Becker,Couirer,Hewitt etc.) and is peaking already.I think he'll stay on this high level more years then most people realize but I don't think he'll get better all that much.

No, come on, they are going now to switch to Loit-Schnyder just because Loit is french? Two words: Murray Almagro. Unbelievable. Ridiculous.

Edit: I was sort of wrong, Cornet-Radwanska is it. Cornet comes with a lot of hype from Rome so it is understandable that the french want to follow her. Still disappointing.

Youzhny was robbed in the 1st point of that tie-break. The point was his (serve-volley winner) but had to replay the point because the linesman called the serve out (and lost it). Given that Verdasco took the tie-break 7-5 it was a big point (btw Verdasco failed twice serving for the set and choked a 4-0 lead in the tb but still won the 1st set).

Probably deadlier then Federer's backhand looks lately.

I can already hear the excuses if Federer was to win this year.
The year of the blister.
Fed's backhand got the workout of it's life against Montanes, he hit pretty much every shot to the Fed backhand, I thought it was looking quite solid actually.

I don't know how stating that he's got some blisters is an excuse?

Anyways if it makes you feel better, here is my prediction ... should Nadal and Federer meet in the final this year (which I think very likely), Nadal will take Federer down yet again.

This Cornet girl sure plays some defense. Not enough, though, and Radwanska takes the first set 6-4, coming back from 1-4.

Yeah his reaction was that he went ahead and lost the set 3-6, on clay... to Grosjean - a guy who he should've easily taken out in straights. He actually looked pretty shaken to me in that 2nd set.
I meant his reaction during and just after the incident. My recollection is that he didn't lose his temper. I don't remember which set he lost but he still won the match and the tournament. So if he got unbalanced it certainly didn't last!

I am still hearing about mono.

Mono is a virus that can have affects for upto a year, a blister is a ....blister. If Federer makes it to finals and looses it was becouse Nadal is was better on that day as he was 8 out of 9 days they met. If federer wins, he was better, its as simple as that.
