what the bookies company this screenshot is from?..also, 1,67 is not a clear fav..but fav:D
The screenshot is from bwin.com, similar odds are mostly everywhere (bet365 is 1.70 vs 2.25), even in Serbia (1.70 vs 2.15).

OK, you can call it a "slight" favorite if you like (I don't know what is the "official" threshold, but for me, one player would be a "slight" favorite in a match of this caliber if the chances are estimated like 1.70 vs 1.90 or similar).

Rafa in 4 sets, Novak isn't feeling 100%. 6/3, 6/2, 5/7 ,6/4
fair enough, allow me to elaborate.

Djokovic has played a lot of tennis in recent months, and I feel like it’s catching up with him. He played 5 sets in his SF. Rafa is fresh and has looked like his usual self after his loss in Rome.

Also have to wonder about Novak’s health. How is that shoulder holding up?

Finally, the last time these guys fought on clay....Djokovic needed a rabbits foot, a genie, and a 7 leaf clover just to win 1 set. Rome 2019, to me, is an indication of a bigger problem for Djokovic. He can’t scare Nadal on clay anymore (much like Nadal can’t scare Djokovic on hard courts anymore).

idk why people are mentioning Novak's health

"I feel fine. A day and a half will be plenty of time for me to recover. I look forward to a great match with Rafa." -Novak Djokovic

Neck problem of Novak can make the difference in the Final. Don't believe in the words but the body language. Following Novak from 2005 and i live in a district where Novak has his Academy and usually practice couple of weeks every year.

Okay...what about his body language hinted at an injury yesterday?

I’m honestly shocked that so many people are picking Nadal. Guess they’re just looking at the past....on a different court.....a different time of the year.....in different conditions....
I don't feel particularly confident as a Nadal fan, to me it's a coin flip or near it, but Nadal did have a much easier time with a tougher clay opponent in the SF. So it's not like there's nothing to point to in this tournament in a vacuum which would be positive for Nadal.

Has to be said that Nadal greedily skipping US open to try to win this event for another meaningless RG title; going to be laughing and laughing if he blew his chance for another U.S. Open which would've greatly enhanced his goat credibility.:-D

Nadal is winning on Sunday. It will be partly cloudy which means some sun and 58 is not as cold. I’m more shocked that people are picking novak to win. Are you kidding me?

Considering that the NextGEn stinks he can still make a run deep next year

Skipping USO was a bad decision, but not sure he would have won it anyway.

This thread is only 9 pages long so far?

You know this thread can't break records right because this site pays for a dog potato server(s).

Well then I must ask....why are almost all commentators/experts/former players picking Djokovic to win?

Yep exactly. I expect pages to load ridiculously slowly tomorrow, if at all.

Butterflies in my stomach already. Why does this have to be so hard for fans?

Imagine the players then... I remember in one the interviews from djok's mom who said her son did not eat before the 2019 wimbledon final or couldn't eat atleast due to pressure

What do you think is the key shot in the match? I think it will be Nadal's backhand.
No one exploits Nadal's backhand more than Novak. Novak's natural CC forehand drives Nadal wide on his backhand and forces a short response. Nadal's success against Novak in 2013 was mainly because of an improved backhand.
This RG, however, Nadal's backhand has not been good. The winner count is low (16 in 6 matches) and he is not hitting it flat enough. Usually rolling it in or looping it high. That will get him killed vs Novak.

Agree here, Nadal's backhand is nowhere near the level of 2017-2019. I feel like every time he wants to hit sharp he misses.

Novak outlasted and outmuscled Federer WITHOUT food. Unbelievable. He truly must be the son of God.
I guess the pressure gets to players in different ways. It's incredible how they handle pressure. I always feel federer is the coolest of the big 3 in handling pressure. I may be wrong.

Nadal’s BH was terrible in the 3rd set against Diego. No rhythm or pop on it. He needs his 2017 cannon ball BH and of course his FH DTL. If both those shots are firing, I expect Rafa to win. We’ll see.

Nadal’s forehand. Djokovic never had an answer to peak fearhanding. No one had, to be fair.

Real lethargic tennis from Djokovic in their last clay encounter in the opening set. He can't come out looking like that tomorrow.

I mean it in a nice way. But that is completely INCORRECT. Federer has lost the most in pressure moments vs Djokovic (especially) and Nadal.
BY definition he handles pressure the worst. He's lost matches when he has played better in BIG matches because of not handling the pressure well.

Stats:

Grandslam Final record:

Djokovic 4-1 vs Fed
Nadal 6-3 vs Fed

Tour level Final Record

Djokovic 14-6 vs Fed (insane)
Nadal 14-11 vs Fed (respectable and close)

I know Nadal and Djoker are younger than Fed, so the numbers are skewed. But still...

I have to say I was leaning slightly towards Djokovic early in the tournament because Rafa was not looking so great but when I saw him raise his level when needed especially against Sinner the pendulum started to swing the other way in my opinion. I always thought he would get through potential matchups against Zverev and Theim but I have to admit Sinner had me worried especially since they had never played before. When he had his match against Diego I was more worried about Diego wearing him out than actually beating him. I have also seen the chinks in the armor of Djokovic as the tournament has progressed ( not including his matchup against PCB where he was clearly hampered). I feel as though Rafa is a slight favorite to win the match although I would not be shocked if Djokovic wins. That is my honest assessment as a Rafa fan.

Now what I really want to say is Rafa .. .....You better go out there tomorrow and tear that sh*t out the frame or better yet open up a can of whoop ass on Djokovic. Rafa please get the job done. I would love to see you win your 13th RG and 20th slam. You have worked so hard over the years and I don't know how many more slams you have in you. I wish you luck in tomorrow's final. Kick a** Rafa.
