I like yours, but I expect the following:

Djokovic-Rublev
Zverev-Nadal
Thiem-Federer
Tsitsipas-Medvedev

I feel like Rafa will end up with the toughest QF (either Tsitsipas or Zverev) and have to play Djokovic in the semis. I hope not, but that's the gut feeling.

I have a feeling that Medvedev, Rublev and Federer will be in Nadal’s half while Zverev, Tsitsipas and Thiem will be in Djokovic’s half.

Only thing I'm really looking out for is which half Nadal lands in. Don't even mind say Tsitsipas in Nole's quarter as Nole would likely not have two consecutive tough matches from the QF-F and can find out relatively early if he's good enough.

It's not a joke, because it's based on ATP rankings! Exactly similar to '20 AO seedings, when Nadal was seeded 1st, but then lost in QF. 2nd seeded Djokovic went on to win!

Betting favorites tell the real story, not seedings!

You are right. But I am curious if anyone could predict who are gonna make it to the QF! How many of top8 seeds are gonna go that far?

Nadal's forehand is in far better form this year than 2019 and 2020, it carried him to titles in Barcelona (over Tsitsipas) and Rome (over Sinner, Zverev and Djokovic).
His serve has been out-of-form (thus the close matches), but it looked in-form in the last 2 matches of Rome
And his mental toughness is 100%, having saved match points at Barcelona, Rome, and completely stopped Djokovic's momentum at Rome.
Overall, if the serve really is back, this is the best version of Nadal since 2017 or 2018........but actually his forehand looks even better now than 2017-2018.
That is why this version of Nadal would hurt Federer more than ever........because the Nadal forehand is best-known for pushing Federer around on clay especially....

I know its not possible, but I want to see Nadal-Djokovic in the QF.
Nadal said he was holding back in the 2nd Set of their Rome Final, probably because he expected Djokovic to fall apart physically because of the schedule, instead Djokovic was on-fire and winning all the long rallies........so Nadal is capable of a lot more domination and I want to see a 3rd bagel in the Nadjokovic rivalry.
I have doubts over whether Djokovic will reach the SF or Final, because he seems to be overplaying.

Ah I don't think anyone here was predicting that the top 8 seeds would all make it to the QFs, just which 8th of the draw each one will end up in. For instance, I don't think many people have high hopes for Medvedev to make the 2nd week.

Yeah even at Barcelona, Nadal had championship points to win 64 64, and Roland Garros clay will give Nadal a bigger edge over Tsitsipas.

Just leave the top 4 non big 3 players on tour together and have big 3 with Rublev in other.

That would be a balanced draw.
Rublev at least makes you run a lot, so he'll make Djokovic or Nadal work hard.

Yeah if rafa novak are together then Rublev, fed make it most balanced but with either Tsitsipas or Zverev it really makes it hard for one of them but I guess one half will look tougher than another since there are 5 top contenders( rafa, novak, Tsitsipas, thiem, Zverev) so 3-2 split will happen hopefully no 4-1 split which would be crazy

Not sure how much Thiem factors in. Clay season this year has been SF, R3 (with a bye), R2 (with a bye). The strongest contenders are Novak, Nadal, Stefanos, and Zverev. A balanced draw will have each of them in their own quarters.

Most balanced draw is this:
Djokovic - Federer
Zverev - Thiem
Nadal - Rublev
Tsitsipas - Medvedev

or thereabouts. (Djokovic getting the easier QF because he's more prone to being upset than Nadal)

Why isn't TW organizing a pool among TTers for each Slams?

Most sports sites do it for Hockey, Baseball, etc.

We could start at the round of 16 to simplify things.

I truly believe Federer will reach the Quarters, historically he has a knack of playing into form.

If he plays aggressive from the backhand side, employ the dropshot more often not even your average clay court journeyman will beat Federer.

Why? Losing to one of the two greatest players ever is hardly anything to be ashamed about as before the QF Federer does not have any top players. Put simply he is better than any in his draw up to QF.
