I remember the Nadal-Federer Rome 2006 Final. Nadal was younger than Alcaraz is now and better.
I've also never seen Federer play better on clay. That Federer would have won RG 2023/RG 2024 both.

Dude, this kid is serve and volleying, fake drop shotting, swing volleying AND moon balling all at the same match, a RG FINAL AND WINNING (so far)

THIS DUDE IS CRAZY!
He’s also serving almost as hard as Z even though he’s 5’11. Z would be something else if he was better at the easiest stroke in the game.

I think it's a lot about striking zones, low balls are easier
For a 6”6 guy? Surely it’s easier to crush the ball when it’s close to chest height than digging out a low slice/flat shot. Zverev has one of the worst FH for a big guy along with Medvedev. It’s looked better most of the tournament too but has reverted back to pushing this match.

I don’t understand the complaints around quality. After a nervous couple first games, Alcaraz has played pretty well. Made a couple sloppy errors not to break at 4-2 but that’s tennis. Overall so far he’s absolutely playing grand slam worthy tennis.

Alcaraz for breadsticked by ancient-Ovic.

And tsonga was playing great in that AO.
In that form, he's crush Chainz of today. Would probably even beat Alcaraz. I mean at RG.

At AO, neither would stand a chance.
So what if Alcaraz was breadsticked, the point is the big 3 were not immune to the same issues. Anyone who says otherwise wasn't watching. Djokovic's backhand in that first set was a disaster. He tightened it up, he won the match going away.

Guys please DO NOT FORGOT zverev has so many luck in this tournament, so in couple minutes alcaraz will get cramps or injury

Okay. This one is ending in straights. Alcaraz is zoned in and Zverev didn’t really arrive.

I expected a lot from this Zmug. Lol

People complaining about unforced errors should go back and watch the Federer/Safin match at the Australian Open in 2005. It's often seen as the holy grail of aggressive tennis but it was also an absolute exhibition of unforced errors from both guys.
People act like The Big 3 played flawless tennis all the time. It's silly

They played great in the big moments, that's what made them special but there was usually sloppy moments as well

This is exactly what I mean by being too cute from Alcaraz. Why go for so many drop shots when you have weapons to kill the ball?
And many points that he's lost (like break points) he makes all the hard shots, but misses out on the easiest sitter at the end.
Hes just trying to entertain us, hes no djokovic

Alcaraz game does remind me a bit of all big 3 players. Net wise he's got the touch and net play of Federer, movement and defence on clay like Rafa, and the hard deep shots that Djokovic has.

Zverev is getting this wrong tactically. Alcaraz is there for the taking as he is likely make loads of UFEs IF Sascha can engage lockdown mode and just plug away with high balls to Carlitos BH which is a definite weakness.

Lol entertaining there's all the Fed handwringing moved onto Alcaraz. Right now Alcaraz is easily playing better than Zverev even after missing a break chance a few games before.

If he has time yes. But he is far less effective when rushed or dealing with a high ball to BH . Federer and Djokovic could handle pace.

Cake walk that last game.
Could get bored and go off the boil and loose games or even set.
Or monster the FH more and Z loses it completely..

Just look at how he plays, he can dig the low balls
