Let's hope Zedzilla can finally make it, though I really doubt it.

Z gót absolutely frozen in the USO finals against Thiem. He won’t be so bad, but he ain’t getting past Tiny.

All the pressure is on Zverev. This is GS final 3 of like 25 that Carlos will have for Zverev this match has the potential to change him from perennial choker to greatest player born in the 1990s and probably is the only chance he’ll ever get to make a serious run at world number one.

Would Zverev surpass Medvedev with a win?

Alcaraz is the prohibitive favorite. It would be a BIG BIG upset is Zedzilla wins.
Prediction: Alcaraz wins this First RG title in 4 sets.
Alcaraz is too complete to not exploit the weakness in Zverev's game. He will relentlessly attack the forehand and get every serve back in play. I wouldn't be surprised if Carlitos wins in straight sets.

Got to say I have been impressed by a few of the guys who made it to second week. Grinding is inevitable but there has been quite a decent amount of powerful aggressive play given these sorts of conditions.

Haven't seen as much of Carlos as I would have liked though there is nothing surprising regarding him. Both him and Sinner will be around, winning a lot with the occasional dip in form or physical struggle. Get ready for having them around for a long long time.

Zverev has been strong overall. Serve is fine, positive approach during the match, the dips in form are smaller than what we are used to seeing, and well equipped for marathons. A great sight after what he suffered here two years ago. Now in hindsight given Thiem's career nosedive I guess I'm glad he got that title despite Zverev's choke. Now that he is the older finalist, I hope he crosses the finish line now. Easily among the best players who never won the biggest trophy so far and it's time he gets that tag removed.

Give us a memorable Roland Garros final marathon, kids.

The Spaniard in 4. The Zedmug probably wins the 1st set but chokes in the 2nd and then it´s one way traffic.

I'm taking Alcaraz in 4 sets. Zverev has the game to trouble him. But this is a slam final. Alcaraz is a big match player. Since the 2022 USO, Alcaraz is 8-1 in finals matches. That is mighty impressive.
I like how some users keep bringing this stat up, that is hiding how many bad losses he had during this time in earlier rounds. (and a terrible record against a very old Djokovic)

They would be close but Med still made it so far to way more slam finals, which is a relatively big deal even though he lost them. Z has one more ATP finals and the Olympic Gold, depending on how highly you rate those tournaments I guess it could make up for it. Sadly at this point both are clearly in a higher tier than their comrade the Greek Philosopher who really has an underwhelming trophy haul when you look at it, even just compared to Z and Med.

Think Z-man has a real good shot at the upset. If Carl becomes impatient and tries to end points too quickly it'll backfire big time. This match will really tell us a lot about his maturity as a player

Alcaraz had a much tougher draw and did all of the dirty work with taking out Tsitispas and Sinner. Hope he wins!

Alcaraz will have to make Z run a lot, moonballs and drop shots

Well then, I guess it's a good thing that the final isn't an earlier round. Also, there's no shame in losing to Djokovic. Looking back now, I'm not nearly as upset about Federer losing all of those semis and finals to Djoker now. Losing to the king of the 21st century is not something to feel too badly about.

That said, Zverev still has a shot. It's not a guarantee that Alcaraz wins. But Carlitos has a great track record so far in finals matches.

This is a fun head-to-head. There are no easy narratives. Zverev leads 5-4 overall but two of those wins were in 2021 before Raz really became Raz. Since maturing into a top player, Carlos leads 4-3, but it’s not really a matter of slowly figuring Zverev out because Z has actually won two of their last three matches. Carlos leads 2-1 on clay, but Zed won their only prior RG match. In fact he leads 2-1 at slams. Just as close as you can get across the board.

That said, this is a slam final. Carlos is gonna put on his big-boy shorts and Zed is gonna wet his. 3-0. Maybe one tiebreak. Vamos!

I think with same amount of masters an extra WTF and OG probably gets it done over a few extra finals especially when Zed has far more quality runs that ended before the final. They've actually reached the same amount of semis Med is just 6-2 vs Zed's 2-6 and Zverev has reached more quarters 12 vs 9.

Alcaraz will just lob crappy balls back and wonder why Zverev is hitting winners.
At least Federer tried in the 08' RG final, this will be one to drive Carlos fans crazy

Zverev in 4. He has completely figured out Alcaraz.

He'll donate a set, but otherwise he will win because he is the worst matchup for Alcaraz. Everything Alcaraz can do, Zverev can do better. Plus he is taller and faster. Alcaraz's ballbashing will not work on Zverev's defense and length.

After his win today, Alcaraz is now 10-1 in 5-set matches. His only loss was at the AO in 2022 when he was down 2-0, only to battle back and push that match to a 5th set tiebreaker against Berrettini. Carlitos was only 18 back then and he was ranked #31 in the world.

Lmao. You just see how much the standards have fallen if a young player losing to 36 years old Djokovic is considered a normal thing by some. Without doubt the weakest era of all time.

Rooting for Zed to get this, but Raz is a Goat in the making so odds are low. But if ever there was a second chance for Zed to get a deserved slam it is now. Let’s get it done goldy chainz!

If everything alcaraz can do, zverev can do better, how come Alcaraz has won in 3 years what zverev wouldnt win in 3 Life times?

One thing I’ve noticed is that Carlos has showed a higher ceiling this fortnight than Zverev, but also a lower floor.
