Alcaraz moves well on grass too, in my opinion.his serve and volleys are enough in this field

Bad call but Alcaraz likely wins this match anyway, he was the better player the majority of the last two sets and Zverev was feeling the pain. Not a scam but I'm sure that will be the TTW narrative even though Zverev only won 3 games in the last 2 sets.SCAM
I'm really tired of the Big 3 nostalgia.
Yes, I love Nadal, Djokovic and Federer. Yes, they are the GOATs. Yes, they played INCREDIBLE matches. But not every one of them was epic and amazing. Many big 3 finals were much worse than today's.
Not worried about scandal he is a great guy but i worry about his taking liberties. Today should have been straight sets had he not clowned around after 1st set
I was ready to move on from them the moment I saw Carlos lift the US Open trophy.I'm really tired of the Big 3 nostalgia.

Yeah, Zverev is never winning a slam.
With that volley?Too bad boring tennis won. But doesn’t matter, Zed proved he is Slam winning material. Will win Wimbledon then or the USO. The meltdown of certain haters will happen at some point.
One have to give it to Raz. Even with historically weak competition, three slams at his age is amazing. The first ATG other than the big three in almost 20 years is in the making.
Why, has something big happened?Post in thread 'Carlos Alcaraz News' http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/carlos-alcaraz-news.641951/post-17887610
Imagine tanking the 4th Set, when your opponent is 10-1 in 5-settersI think Z strategically tanked that, to serve first in the 5th set. something about that game felt tank-y once he got to deuce.
Serving first in the 5th will be huge advantage for Z. He knows he is the better player, he believes.
Both men have tons of mileage on their legs. This will be an absolute battle.
Alcaraz 11-1 in 5-setters now.Alcaraz is 10-1 in 5-setters, so Alcaraz in 5 is the safest bet.
Who can stop him at the Australian Open from there? It took the Earth's Mightiest Warrior to delay this last year, but it was always coming.
The new reign has started.
RG champion
W champion
USO champion
World Number one
Year Ending number one
Right. People are acting like it was match point or something. It was to get back on serve and the score was 15-40. Bad, but hardly a dealbreaker.Bad call but Alcaraz likely wins this match anyway, he was the better player the majority of the last two sets and Zverev was feeling the pain. Not a scam but I'm sure that will be the TTW narrative even though Zverev only won 3 games in the last 2 sets.
His volley is a joke. But you don’t really need a great net game today to win Wimbledon. We are not in the 80s/90s anymore unfortunately. With that volley?
You must be kidding me!
If you don't think this was winning ugly from Carlos then I don't think we were watching the same match. What an absolute joke. The vicious, jealous comments in here about Carlos are comedy gold. He's "lucky, he's a mug, he plays garbage tennis...."
News for you, turkey: Zedrot has the one-dimensional, boring-as-hell game. He has no net game, no drop shot, he has about as much variety as a backboard. He absolutely deserved to lose against a kid with an arsenal that is rich in quality and variety. The people who can't see it have an agenda or are blind clowns.
Boring tennis? I mean de gustibus and all but Alcaraz hit winners from all over the court. More groundstroke winners, more volley winners, more lob winners, more passing shot winners. The highlight reel points just come flowing from his racquet.Too bad boring tennis won. But doesn’t matter, Zed proved he is Slam winning material. Will win Wimbledon then or the USO. The guy gives better speeches than good volleys going up to the net, without a doubt.Such a gracious speech from Alexander.
Nobody put a gun to your head to root for a POS choking buffoon like Zedrot. Alcaraz is 100 times the player and person, well deserved win. That was torture
Shots fired at you @NeutralFanWhat an absolute joke. The vicious, jealous comments in here about Carlos are comedy gold. He's "lucky, he's a mug, he plays garbage tennis...."

If he couldn't achieve it at RG, he won't do it at Wimbledon. His volley is a joke. But you don’t really need a great net game today to win Wimbledon. We are not in the 80s/90s anymore unfortunately.
One of the announcers said "the French fans probably know this by heart at this point." I laughed.Spanish national anthem at RG....now there is a familiar site.
Well tastes are different. I simply cannot get excited over Raz and Sinner. But ofc he deserved the win and is on his way to become an ATG or even more. 3 slams at age 21 is amazing.Boring tennis? I mean de gustibus and all but Alcaraz hit winners from all over the court. More groundstroke winners, more volley winners, more lob winners, more passing shot winners. Despite currently holding 2 of the 4 majors.Carlos will also be ranked #2 now.
lol the impossible. He was close today, got to five sets and also was close to in USO 2020. I would still be surprised if he never wins a slam.If he couldn't achieve it at RG, he won't do it at Wimbledon.
His only chances of achieving the impossible will be on the hard courts.
I fully agree . ABZ forever! Now that it's all over I can look back on today as the best case scenario. Only thing better would've been Zverev somehow blowing match points.
Another Zverev collapse is more satisfying than if Alcaraz had stomped in 3 like I wanted.
Crawl back into your holes. ABZ will get the shovels to bury ya'll. (all 6 of you).CHAIN BROS, OUR RESPONSE?
Despite currently holding 2 of the 4 majors.
Imposible for Zverev, really.lol the impossible. He was close today, got to five sets and also was close to in USO 2020. I would still be surprised if he never wins a slam.
Well if you think.Imposible for Zverev, really.
