Zverev will ARROGANCE and INSOLENCE his way to the title.

Great win for Zed. Second slam final. That for me puts him finally and indisputably ahead of Mecir as the most accomplished player who never won a slam. This being said, he will not hold this “title” for long as he will either on Sunday or very soon win his first slam.

For a time it seemed that the 2020 US Open final was so bad that the fates would never allow either man back into a major final again.

Until one man

Decided to DEFY the fates.

Now hopefully he beats Raz as well and saves us from another overrating of youngsters. With Zed I feel pretty save that TTW won’t fall into next GOAT predictions or comparisons to big three if he wins his first slam.

Glad Ruud is out. That guy just sucks all the energy out of the place. Boring guy, boring game.
Zverev vs Alcaraz in the French Open final is going to be a war.
Also glad Nadal's domination of the French Open is over. Nobody even had a chance here against him in RG finals. Now we can finally get some real battles where the winner isn't already determined before the final begins.

I honestly think there is no saving this place.

If Zverev wins it might be like how you want for a few weeks tops before it's back to normal order.

Alcaraz losing to Zverev again in a major could be the beginning of a mental block. Zverev's power gives him a lot of trouble.

Why so sure? Zed already beat him that year at a slam. Also beat him in 2022 here in RG.
I am not sure
But
Alcaraz is very tough mentally ...so I think slight tilt in his favor

But if Sasha does not choke and plays like he did today, then he will definitely win in 4 sets...but I think I am asking too much from him in a grand slam final ...?...we'll see

Let’s wait and see. My bet is on Zverev.

If Zed can do 2 things in the final

1) Not choke
2) play his A-game

Then he blows little Carlos right off the court.

This forum would have a meltdown if Z wins a slam.
If Z wins a slam beating ALCARAZ in the final, the new ATG who should save tennis, the site could crash and end in flames lol. It could almost rival the 40-15 episode.

This match underlined why I don't care too much about ATP-tennis nowadays: If even on clay matches are decided with aces and unreturned serves, then it's not tennis (or at least not what it is supposed to be). It's just something warm, brown and stuff that the flies like very much.

Am I the only one who thinks Alcaraz is the clear favorite? I get that it feels like Zverev is “due” a slam. But has he really shown anything special this tournament? He basically should’ve lost against Tallon and barely beat Rune. Hard to say anything about his level today since Ruud was ill.

The oddsmakers (and betting public in general) think Carlos is going to win easily. The insiders think it could go either way.
