If this was last year's Ruud with the marginal backhand, he'd get killed by Alcaraz. But his backhand is now actually decent. He's got fewer holes in his game now.

I have so such weird emotions towards this match. I like Ruud much more and I want Carlos to win the french so I should be hard cheering for Ruud but I do want the final to be competitive and interesting. I think I care about that more at this point because I'm not that emotionally invested in Carlos yet. It also would be good for the game to get a 3rd guy at the top if Djokovic is going to fall away permanently now.
