Roland Garros on TV

So if Tennis Channel was dropped from your cable provider, how will you watch RG? It's too bad TC teamed up with Sinclair and then try and forced us to go with big cable TV's exorbitant prices to get their channel. Any deals out there?

For us (Europeans) is easy cause Eurosport never dissapoints and I hope never will.

I wonder if I would even be such a big tennis fan if it were not for Eurosport. Back in the early 90s, it was one of the only ways to watch tennis in the UK outside of Wimbledon and some of the slam finals which the BBC showed.

Tennis TV also has web subscription that can be accessed anywhere from the world.

But not RG.. (or other Grand Slams..)

I’m below New Orleans right now, St. Bernard Parish actually, and to my huge surprise it is on right now on a channel called Bally Sports South (Cox Cable Company). I looked that up and it was previously Fox Sports. So cool!

You can watch it on JioTv if you have any regular plan for a Jio sim.

Much less costly.
Slams air on Star Sports Select so with JioTV you would be directed to Hotstar...Star sports have rights for Wimbledon, RG and USO. They also used to broadcast AO before but not this year.

ATP500 & M1000s are broadcasted on other networks like Sony which you can access directly through Jio Tv.

Here in UK we can watch on ITV3 and eurosport.

ITV4 ;)

It's now the 10th year in a row of ITV having the tournament, starting in 2012. Before that, the BBC only really showed the finals and the semis if you were lucky or an Andy Murray/Tim Henman match. The proper Eurosport coverage has been going on for decades of course.

Yes, but it does not carry any of the majors, and no WTA matches. It's good for 1,000 tournaments like the recent Barcelona and Rome. It's easy to add and drop as you see fit.

In the US, Sling TV plus their 'Orange' sports package carries tennis channel. That is about $45 per month, but you can drop it after a month if you wish.

This is the most reasonable access to TC for RG that I found.

TC+? I believe they’re showing most, if not all of the courts on their streaming service.
Yeah but you have to pay for a year. I’m retired and don’t want to spend that much because I have tennis tv for the other tournaments and the other slams are on ESPN which I already have.

You can almost watch the rest of the tournament for free. Fubo TV (with the Sports Plus package) has a 7 day free trial. That includes the Tennis Channel. Peacock Premium has a 7 day free trial. Those two + NBC should cover most of your matches.

I’m currently watching Djoker playing Tennis on PC Court with no spectators. Whats’ the go with spectators as I thought they were allowed, no?

We get the French Open on Bally Sports in North Carolina also but you really have to search for it. On my service (DirectTV) it's channel 646.1! Direct TV also provides coverage for five courts for the four Grand Slams tournaments but only during the first week. So, this week I can choose between six different matches. Next week I'll probably be stuck with whatever match Tennis Channel is showing and maybe a second match, or the same match, on Bally Sports.

I have a streaming service that gets me all sports. Just out of curiosity, does DirecTV still have coverage of GS events where they had all the courts in action you could choose from?

So I decided to buy TC+ when I received a discount from the USTA. I love access to all of the courts. I wish I had seen some of the posts before I did, but most of them came after the purchase. Thanks for all of the replies.

I can’t believe no money was allocated in the various Covid relief programs for free TV tennis packages. It’s absurd. Trillions of dollars and they could have provided this needed benefit with a few million. I blame the Old Turtle From Kentucky.
