Us *******s can pack our bags. This is the dreamdraw for every Rafa-troll around. Federer hasn't played for a while, comes back, has a joke draw to the semis, gets to play Nadal for the first time in a year, on clay, just AFTER Nadal finally managed to do something in tennis again. Nadal's in hot form, and will probably dominate Federer (for old times sake) and it'll be Nadal-paradise around here all over again, with people saying Nadal is a better player. Just look at the h2h..

This, my friends, is (most of) the story of this rivalry..

Really, not Nadal beating Fed on his home soil, beating Fed in 3 slam finals on 3 different surfaces in a period of 3 months?

WOW Rome Masters looks to be EPIC! Only if the seedings go according to plan...of course.

I wouldnt be surprised if Federer goes out before the semis. He basically tanks all these Masters events these days unless he feels like he really needs the points, and being in Nadal's half he is even more likely to do so. If he does make the semis though I expect he will perform very well and it will be a competitive match either way.

seppi is a solid baseliner, he is always mentally there in the matches I have seen of his (4 or 5), although I don't know his CC results. That could be a gut check match for murray.

On clay I would say Seppi will control most of the ralleys, but as you said he can mentally implode. He has a weak serve too but that can be masked on clay.

Nadal will be the huge favorite if they meet, but you can't write Federer off, not ever. When Fed is confident and playing well, I can only pity his opponents and wish them good luck in the future :)

Let's hope Fed practiced well and his FH comes back in time.

what???This is a legitimate draw to you?lol

Yes, meaning much stiffer competition. Just look at this draw and compare it to Monte lol Carlo draw for instance. By legitimacy I was talking about that and not the lopsided occurrence that just so happened.

No, you're wrong.

Monte Carlo had a joke entry list in the first place. And that's why it sucked. This draw only shows you that one of the semifinals is going to be as amazing as watching a Murray - Seppi match in the first round of a grand slam.

Hi, malakas! :) Haven't heard ... How was your vaca? Did you take the scenic route? Meet any cute Greek gods? :p or see any new sights?

p.s. did you see our favorite brazilian implode vs. the energizer bunny the other day? :???:

Dasco has to be careful here. He has a very manageable draw at Rome so he is opening himself up to the possibility of entering the nadal zone in terms of matches played before RG; as much as I like the guy, he is no nadal on clay. An early round loss at Rome could have net positive benefits for him.

Dont know if this was already mentioned ... but lo and behold, somehow all four wild cards turn out to be Italian! ;)

Volandri, Filippo ITA
Lorenzi, Paolo ITA
Starace, Potito ITA
Bolelli, Simone ITA

The top of the draw is a masters 1000 tournament in itself.

The bottom is more like the Belgrade Open starring Andy Murray and the 5 Italians.

he should've ditched barca so he would be fit to play in his hometown madrid

if he goes deep in rome, he'll be burnt by RG

Uggh! I can't access the live scores. Can anyone post the standing in the Hanescu vs. Berrer match? Time to go laptop shopping.

Yep, haven't done that great only at 324 points. I need Tsonga to have a brilliant tournament to pick up some ground but now I'm thinking that could've been a stupid decision.

You should come into the TTW group to make all of our point totals look awful since I notice you're top 20 :)

I'm not familiar with the group. Is it on the same website? The problem with being in the top 20 is the stress at maintaining it (which I have no doubt will be alleviated after Rome). :)
I would like for Hanescu, Tipsarevic and Seppi to win today. Correction: I NEED them to win because every stinkin' point counts. lol.

I think of the outsiders in terms of who is going to win ferrer has a very nice draw, he could easily make the semi-finals and meet verdy/djokovic.

Korolev, Starace, Murray and Tsonga/Ferrero all very winnable.
