Holger reminds me so much of 2002-2003 Fed. Has all the weapons and is so close to putting it all together. This match is basically the equivalent of 2003 Fed vs an experienced Djokovic
Brave Sir Novak swung away,Courageous forehand from Novak!
Except not at all?Holger reminds me so much of 2002-2003 Fed. Has all the weapons and is so close to putting it all together. This match is basically the equivalent of 2003 Fed vs an experienced Djokovic
He looks like the big favourite at the moment
if for no other reason than everyone else looks awful.
I have noticed that, don’t understand the double standard really. For Rune it’s called “personality”. I’m just not a fan of eitherPuzzling how the same people who hate Djokovic for his supposed arrogance seem to love Rune. Curious indeed..
Lack of genuineness of the former is a deal breaker for manyPuzzling how the same people who hate Djokovic for his supposed arrogance seem to love Rune. Curious indeed..
I’d rather watch Rybakina upskirts than 99% of the men’s tour. The WTA looks currently stronger than the ATP, not kidding.
Lol you just never learn do you my friend.Djokovic needs to start skipping clay Fed-style. This is getting embarrassing.
Totally dismantled by a younger, better, stronger opponent. And Rune is basically just keeping the ball in play...
Listen, I love them both, but in no universe is Holger Rune (or any player) anywhere near the level of 2003 Fed. Roger was clearly and massively the better player on all surfaces.Holger reminds me so much of 2002-2003 Fed. Has all the weapons and is so close to putting it all together. Looks like he’s been getting the ball by fine on his on the run cross court rifle forehandRune is not going to be denied today, Djokovic cannot the ball past him.
Not shocking to anyone who knows a modicum about tennis and has watched Novak on clay this year. He should skip the clay season next year. Worked for Fraud.
Let him do it after Rune wins the match. I still don't trust him to hold onto 2 breaks. He's lost matches twice this year from that position in the third set and in the AO against Rublev in the fifth. He was up 6-0 in the super breaker in the fifth set at the AO against Andrei and choked that match away.Novak about to explode.

He's a big-match player, though. I imagine he's way more focused against Djokovic compared to someone like Rublev.Let him do it after Rune wins the match. 10% at best for meWhat % chance do you give Djo of capturing the Coupe des Mousquetaires
I dont love either guy!! Just love a good game when the predicted loser takes it to a champ!!Puzzling how the same people who hate Djokovic for his supposed arrogance seem to love Rune. Curious indeed..
He performs better in slams but there will be Alcaraz, Rune, Sinner, potentially Nadal too. I give him a 15-20% chance. I think he has a 75-80% of winning Wimbledon though. What % chance do you give Djo of capturing the Coupe des Mousquetaires
Most people in this thead are Novak fans and haven't watched anything of Holger. The kid is damn good and will win multiple slams. This is like watching young Edberg or Fed - it was obvious they were going to be great players. Holger is absolutely the real deal, not like Berdych or Tsonga.Actually, it is not shocking to anyone who has been watching Rune this year.
I do believe, he will not have that problem against DjokovicLet him do it after Rune wins the match. I still don't trust him to hold onto 2 breaks. It's all mind and stamina at this point. His actual tennis game is good enough to be a champion. He seems like he relishes these opportunities against very top players, as where he sometimes gets a little nervy when the player isn't as exalted and there's more expectation that he win. If he closes this out, he will have beaten Djokovic at two majors on two different surfaces. Plus, he has a Masters title. He's still obviously young, but a Slam or very deep run is the logical next step.Holger reminds me so much of 2002-2003 Fed. Has all the weapons and is so close to putting it all together. If they play like they did at Santiago Bernabeu, I like their chances.Hopefully Real Madrid beat Man City tonight. Otherwise It’s a bad day.

When was the last time neither Djoker nor Rafa won a clay title before RG?
