Sinner in 3. We do need a third player at least to interject himself to make it interesting . Cause this is looking 05-07 ugly at the moment with 2 guys winning everything. Here there heck is everyone else? Snoozin?

Sinner has only lost one match since Cincinnati, and that was to Alcaraz in Beijing.

Sinner's only title on clay came by beating Alcaraz in the final.

Alcaraz has never lost a big final to anyone not named Djokovic.

Alcaraz, if he wins will complete the set big titles on clay, MC, Madrid, Rome and RG. Add in Barcelona as the cherry. He will also have won the first five masters of the season.

Sinner can win his first big title outside of HC.

What is it with these Italian players, everytime they face Carlos they seem to have some form of injury? In MC, Musetti was supposed to win but he was injured. Today it was because of the wind. Tomorrow when Sinner loses, I’m sure people here will say, he wasn’t 100%.

Well, Carlos has breathing problems and he sounds like he has a flu.

Looking forward to this I haven't really been following the tournament too closely.

Alcaraz would have to summon his 2022 clay form. Cause his 2025 form just isn’t good enough at the moment . And sinner is better now on clay than he was last year when they met at RG
If I guess if there is a chance to get sinner though it’s on clay. But off clay I don’t think so anymore.

Sinner confirmed he is not injured. He has a blister on his foot which is impacting his movement. And that caused him to get a tight hamstring.

Carlos in 3. Sinner did not beat Carlos at all last year even on hc, so don't see it happening here. But raz is playing wonky and sinner has the italian crowd so who knows.

Who was the second guy in 05-07? That was the Federera.

Tennis has been like this constantly the last 20 years. It's been largely Federer, Nadal and Djokovic winning slams now it's Sinner and Alcaraz.
There was a little sprinkling of Murray and Wawrinka for a few years but it's a Big 3 transitioned right into a Big 2.
Definitely need a third guy to steal some slams to make it more interesting but I don't see anyone capable currently.

Hoping for Alcaraz just want to see a fair sport.
No no

You can't keep hoping for x for rest of eternity just to get fair sport.

So I would say just so you get on with the program, let sinner hammer raz on Sunday.

Then we can move on with this concept of fair sport bs.

ATP:

"Carlos Alcaraz's flashy game and infectious personality have made him irresistible to tennis fans around the world since his ATP Tour debut in 2020. A fixture at the top end of the PIF ATP Rankings since 2022, the Spaniard has often spoken about being a showman seeking to entertain, playing his best tennis when he's smiling.

Sometimes it's difficult because sometimes when I see the ball coming, a lot of things come to my mind. Sometimes it's difficult to choose the right decision," Alcaraz explained.

"But I'm trying to improve that part of my game, trying not to think too much and do the right things always, even if it is not the brilliant shot or the brilliant decision."

Alcaraz stressed the importance of being able to enter lockdown mode from the baseline, particularly in challenging conditions: "You have to go to the smart decision, just trying to be patient, trying to wait for your chances," he added. "If the points or the rally goes to 10, 12, 13 shots, you have to be ready for that battle. You have to be ready for that and try to wait until you can go aggressively. Sometimes it's difficult, but I think today I did it pretty well."

Overall sinner is better than raz. But on clay when there is enough time, raz can think through.

Carlos raises his game against Sinner, but I think oddly Sinner will have a better Bo3 H2H vs Carlitos when it’s all said and done but Carlitos will have a better H2H at Grand Slams when he was enough sets to play himself into the match.

Sinner in 3

I pick Sinner to win. If in 2 or 3 depends on if he has a lapse like today or not. But the match will be on his racquet.

Alcaraz simply isn't close enough to his best right now. He already had to fight very hard to be the second best player of this tournament.
