rolls eyes.
yet another failure.
Alcaraz is the only one giving hope.
I wish I could root for Carlos, but have to settle for the non-grunting Dane.

Holger lost first round in qualies in Rome last year, gained 600 points with a final appearance in 2023, so moving in the right direction (even if he played utterly passive garbage today).

The Rune bandwagon...

I don't give a sh*t about the grunting or whatever. What matters most is level of play.

All joking aside, Medvedev is going to be the most dangerous floater at RG. I don't consider him in the top 3 most likely to win it but he's certainly got the fitness to go 5 sets and he seems to have found some form on clay.

Medvedev showing next gen how to win on clay now.

BIG BIG congrats to Medvedev! What a title. Proving his haters how great he really is.

Idk how often it's been said, but it's my opinion that Rune not winning here isn't a sign he has no big future in tennis.

Medvedev played okay here. I've definitely seen worse finals.
Rune doesn’t look like anything special to me. But what do I know.
Carlos is the real deal.

At this point a Golden Masters while winning none of them more than once would be the most Mad Lad thing ever.

So great to have him resembling his old self more often than not. And showing it on clay no less.

Rune needs to find Dr. Fuentes level blood doping if he wants to win those 14 Roland Garroses.

I think he has the game for it, but the fitness is well below par. He looks like he's run 3 marathons and it's only the 2nd.

Perhaps there is a cycling team who can help. The tournament is in France after all.
Michele Ferrari prepared Lance Armstrong, I think he is the one.

If you can't beat Med in a best of 3, you can't win RG. Rune may go slamless his entire career until he figures his fitness out

Alcaraz and Sinner are physically at their peak right now, Rune is the only one of the 3 who is still a boy bodywise, this means in another 2-3 years by the time he hits 22-23 he will reach his physical peak. He will win slams. Carlos is already maxed out, Sinner is almost 22, I cannot imagine him getting much stronger than he is, so Rune has hope.

Does this win make Medvedev one of the favourites for the French Open?

My top 3 to win the French Open is Alcaraz, Djokovic and Rune.

Draw dependant i think.

For me I would say Djokovic > Alcaraz > Tsitsipas > Medvedev > Ruud > Sinner > Zverev > Rune > Rublev of top 10 well known names but there is always a chance some in-form top 50 player could go deep, I have no idea who that could be there is always usually one who does well.

Woah there sir. Sinner is definitely not as his peak physically
