Was going to go Alcaraz in 2, but then changed my mind - AdM can certainly win a set. He might win the whole match if he comes out blazing, but I think in the end Carlos will come through. He rarely loses finals.

Raz has too many weapons and crucially won’t get servebotted by De Minaur. I expect multiple breaks on both ends and some sloppy play but Alcaraz just has a much higher ceiling. I don’t expect much from him indoors but this is the exact matchup he should be able to win. If he actually loses a final to freakin De Mug, big time disappointment.

It's one of those matches where theoretically it should be one sided, but I have a feeling ADM is going to win. But the level headed answer is Alcaraz in 3

Wow. Could be a huge win for Demon if he takes this. Based on the level they displayed this week (especially the semifinal) I think he has a chance.
Alcaraz has zero title in Indoor. Lost against Djokovic on 1 leg in AO. And almost lost to ADM in Barcelona (the aussie's worst surface).
These conditions couldn't be more perfect for De Minaur. His only defeat in 12 matches this year is Sinner. His only defeat in Rotterdam since 2023 is the final against Sinner. Alcaraz is no Sinner at the moment.
I can't wait. I'm rarely this excited for an ATP500 final!

I think Alcz is looking strong and has the confidence going in. I can see two close straight sets for him. But....ya know Demon is going to make it physical and "one-more-shot" Alcaraz is certainly going to have to make MANY "one-more-shots" with Demon's defense.

I hope you weren't getting settled in to watch the match right now. :D

lol. I just got back and didn't account for the time difference.

Oh well! Now I gotta find a replay. Cheers.
If you watched yesterday's match vs Hurkacz I'd almost say don't bother (and if you didn't, track down a full match replay of that!). Today's match featured a couple of fun points, but they were few and far between. Maybe six or seven "wow" moments in a three set match.

The match yesterday was awesome for sure. Will see what I can find though. I do like watching that kid play.

Alcaraz's 1st indoor title and 1st Spaniard to win in Rotterdam (coach Ferrero reached the final in 2004, Nadal in 2009).

Great shame for Alex in his 2nd consecutive Rotterdam final. He made it a real contest but was unlucky to come up against Sincaraz in both finals. If only he can avoid those 2!!!

Alcaraz deserves this title. Alex is almost as good as him which is a consolation prize. But Alex should be happy for future.

Good confidence builder for Charles: won on a surface that he's pretty inexperienced and lacking in success on, while mostly playing at a level that doesn't look near his best, and beating an in-form top 10 guy in the final. Let's see how he goes in Qatar and whether he can iron out the kinks in his level.
