Round polys with high launch angles??

I've only come across HEAD lynx but the black has high tension loss...some say yellow n green have better tension maintenance then the darker lynx

yes yellow one, string it little higher than other polys still. Less tension loss than the black one. Really high launch angle ime for a round one. Pretty much launch angle of a shaped poly. Maybe even higher than some shaped ones.

I don't have a ton if depth with round string, but I am very happy with Mayami Hit Pro. Round, 1.25, comfortable, maintains playability for 10+ hours of hard hitting, has some pop but not wildly powerful.

And I still like the launch angle in my tighter 16x19 / 16x20 patterns (8 mains in the throat).

Hmm are you meaning ice code ?

I’ve never tried ice code. Razor code is what’s on my PSVS right now and it plays with medium stiffness, plenty of launch and spin, and it’s round. I like it and would recommend it, especially in 18 gauge as thinner polys tend to have higher launch in my experience.

Aww ok. I played plenty with razor code 1.20 -1.30. Didn’t think the launch angle was super high. But then again I only played with 1.20 once.

Agree on it being stiff. Very controlled and lower launch angle.

With a Dynamic stiffness of 230 g/mm and an Avg static stiffness of 53.2 lbs/inch, Lynx Touch (125) is middle of the road in stiffness in the string universe.

I believe you, since I don’t measure these things and I’m also an idiot. But when I played with it, it wasn’t just the softest, mushiest string I’ve ever used - it was the softest by a mile and a half. I thought I had mashed potatoes in my racket.

Can't comment on slickness ... but for 1) Comfort, 2) Tension Maintenance, & 3) Control - Then:
  1. MSV Swift
  2. Head Lynx Touch
  3. Head Hawk
  4. Babolat RPM Power
  5. MSV Bussard
Hawk is softer then bussard? Tnx I thought hawk was stiff low power... I tried bussard n it's medium stiff with medium power.. never tried hawk cause everyone says it's harder polys

Hawk is slightly stiffer than Bussard. If looking at stiffness alone, it would be a different ordering. When looking at a combination of all three, Hawk has the edge due to its superior tension maintainence.
