YES, That is right. 50- 52 lbs is right tension. Any tension above that for some reason ,, it doesn't pocket the ball and just becomes piece of useless plastic. but 50 lbs or below, it is very nice with control and Power combo. and feel improves great deal as wellHi all,
Just purchased a Pure strike and was thinking about trying the babolat RPM blast rough. I am planning on stringing it at 52, does that sound about right?
My son demo'd the PS98 with RPM Blast @ 53. Was a bit down on power. But control was good for volleys and BH. FH kept dumping into the net or come over the net weakly. We bought the racquet and strung with HyperG 18 @ 49/48 and plays better for him with more spin and a touch more power. But still retains a lot of touch for finesse shots.Hi all,

I would recommend what Traffic above did. Both of mine play with a nice combination of power, control and touch in the 48-50lbs range if its the 16x19. A couple pounds looser if it is the 18x20. Start from there and adjust depending on how you feel. Best of luck.Hi all,

great start!!Thanks everyone for the responses. I have access to a machine so I'm going to try a few to find the ones I like.
I'm going to start with the RPM Blast rough strung at 50.
the Hyper G at 49 and was told to try the Wilson poly (not sure the name) spin maybe at 50. If there are any other polys I should try please let me know.
Rough is very nice soft poly. Very powerful and spin friendly. Only knock on it is feel. it feel bit like paper or plastic. and you have what is called detached feel. I think it is a great poly if you have arm issues and need soft poly. but for me I prefer the reglar RPM blastI’m about to try this string today with 49lb ps16x19 fingers crossed. Never tried rough before. Only even played normal co poly
Agree. but Dominick Thiem seem to like the rough better.I honestly hated the feel of the Blast Rough. As mentioned above, it felt like the string was made of paper. That said, it played and felt great in the Textreme Tour 95. The softness of the frame reduced the bad feel of the string, and the control was really awesome. I’m not sure if the Blast Rough is the best choice for the Pure Strike, though. Maybe the regular RPM Blast might be a better option.
