Rs Lyon with pure drive

Anyone tried rs Lyon on pure drive or pure drive plus? If so any recommendations on tension and any observations?

Regular user of luxilon alu power rough and recently switched to a ultra cable/ alu power rough hybrid.

RS Lyon would be a good equalizer for a Pure Drive. PD has great spin potential and Lyon doesn't add much. Lyon adds some comfort where PD is lacking. Lyon has great longevity for a poly. I tried Lyon in a hybrid in my signature racquet. In the mains, 49 lbs. is what felt right to me in my racquet. In your racquet in a full bed, I would try 51 lbs. first.

I string Lyon 1.25 in a PD for a solid player in his 50s. Mid-upper tension if I recall correctly (mid 50s?). He quite likes the combo.

Lyon is pretty soft/elastic, I would string it a bit higher especially if you are using 1.20mm. I had to string mine up around 60 where I use 55-57 with 1.30 Revolution.

I finally managed to string fill bed at 52 lbs and a hit session .

The strings have a good feel and one of the better poly I have played with.

Spin and power doesn't seem to be anything out of ordinary. My normal shots would land closer to baselines but with this string, they land in service box. flat shots Performance was best for me.

I did try adjusting to hit harder / faster with mixed results. When the ball did land deep, it didn't do anything out of ordinary like some of the other spin strings

I still like the feel and the comfort. So will give it one more whirl.

My current opinion is that it's a good string to hybrid with another spin poly like rpm blast or cyclone.
